Get ready friends, fall is on it’s way! With that said, don’t pack up your dresses yes, you might just have a few of these summer to fall style staples in your closet that you can layer with. I am all about using the same clothes throughout the year and, having a few transitional summer to fall dresses in your closet is essential. I wanted to share with you 25 transitional summer to fall dresses that you can wear now and later. I picked some up at the Nordstrom Sale and of course, already have a few from past seasons sitting in my closet. Since most summer dresses are short sleeved or tank style, they are really easy to layer and not feel stuffy in. Side note, I hate wearing dresses with layers and feeling like a packed in marshmallow. It’s the worst, especially while handling small kids.

My style is spiced up basic. I’m a mom of three babes, and so I need function. I like to wear long boho, midi length, rouched bodycons and slip dresses under a good transitional summer to fall jacket and rock it with some accessories and killer boots. Though it’s still warm out as I write this, I can absolutely envision the trees changing colors and me sipping a latte with a girlfriend while wearing a comfy dress. Maybe I’ll throw on a hat with that outfit too.
