DIY: Whipped Shea Butter Body Scrub with Lavender and Peppermint

If you want your body to feel soft, smooth, and exfoliated, then you need to make this DIY Whipped Shea Butter Body Scrub. This body scrub is formulated with Shea Butter, Coconut oil, Sugar, Salt, and a few drops of lavender and peppermint essential oils from Young Living. This is not only the perfect hydrating scrub for your body, it would also make an easy DIY gift for someone special.

Honestly, I don’t have a lot of time for any DIY that takes a long time, I would rather just purchase it at that point. So literally, this DIY took approximately 5 minutes to make, but no one would ever know that because it looks fancy. I am all about smoke and mirrors. (Did you ever watch the movie with Sarah Jessica Parker called I Don’t Know How She Does It? I live my life like that.)

What’s in this DIY Whipped Shea Butter Body Scrub and Why?

Raw Shea Butter: The benefits of Shea Butter are pretty incredible. It reduces inflammation, helps with wrinkles by moisturizing the skin. It also contains Vitamins A, E and F along with fatty acids that help produce collagen. Using it in this body scrub will help keep your skin stay hydrated after you shower. Found Here

Virgin Coconut Oil: Because Virgin Coconut oil is Anti-Microbial and Anti-Bacterial, it makes the perfect addition to the body scrub to keep it from going rancid. It’s also incredibly moisturizing on the skin. Found Here

Sugar & Salt: These two don’t necessarily have any hydrating properties to them, but they make a fantastic duo for exfoliation.

Essential Oils: Essential Oils are essential for DIY bath and body products because of their aromatherapy benefits. I am using Lavender and Peppermint oils from Young Living for this one, but orange and lemon would be amazing too.
