Since I am pregnant, my skin has been absolutely hating me. I mean, I went from having a blemish every once in a while, to trying to keep blemishes from having babies on a daily basis. I am pulling out all the stops with skincare that I can as a pregnant person, but still, a tinted moisturizer just isn’t going to cut it right now. So to even out my skin tone and conceal blemishes, I picked up the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Liquid foundation and concealer.
This foundation has been a favorite since I discovered it years ago. Back in the day (10 years ago) I freelanced for Estee Lauder on their makeup artist team and this medium to full coverage foundation was a major hit for myself and most clients. I use to have pretty bad acne at that time, and the Double Wear Stay-in-Place Liquid foundation was a life-saver. Now that I am experiencing some breakouts again, I am so thankful that I have this foundation to help my skin look its best.
In order to make this foundation really work for me, I needed it to match and look natural. When I went to Macy’s, the Estee Lauder Beauty Expert did a customized iMatch and found that the Double Wear shade in Sand suited my skin perfectly. Usually I hate when other people test my foundation shade because I am pretty picky, but Sand is what I would have chosen, so iMatch worked out well for me. It was impressive.
Over the past few weeks, I have been using the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place foundation religiously to see if I still like it as much as I did back when I first discovered it. Truthfully, I forgot how well this foundation and I get along. It’s oil-free and non-comedogenic which is a major plus for anyone struggling with acne because it won’t clog pores and cause additional breakouts. Personally, I have noticed that my blemishes have gone way down since using this foundation and that the left over blemishes are easy to conceal because of the med. to full coverage.
Speaking of this foundation coverage, a little goes a long way, and I only had to use a dime size amount for my entire face. It’s also extremely buildable, so if I have a day where my skin needs more coverage, I can add the Double-Wear foundation where needed, and it still looks natural and not cakey in the least. Sometimes with med. to full coverage foundation, the skin just looks heavy, but that is not the case at all with this one; I think that’s a major plus.
One of the last positives is that this foundation has a staying power of 15 hours regardless of heat, humidity, and an active lifestyle. I live in Austin, TX where the weather is currently in the 80’s; I was amazed how fresh my skin looked even after a full day of chasing kids in this sunny weather. In other words, it is no lie that this foundation stays the entire 15 hours.
After I had applied my foundation, I used the Double Wear Stay-in-Place concealer under my eyes and around my nose for extra coverage. If you ever wanted to hide the fact that you got no sleep that night, this concealer will do the trick. Also, if you have any blemishes that are refusing to hide, just dab a little bit of this on, and you should be golden!

AFTER USING THE ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR STAY-IN-PLACE LIQUID FOUNDATION
As you can clearly see, my skin looks a million times better after having used this med to full coverage foundation. It doesn’t look heavy, or like foundation is just sitting on my skin either, it looks completely like my skin, but just better. As someone who is experiencing breakouts (me), I would recommend picking up the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation. But even if you aren’t, this foundation is a good remedy for creating flawless skin for any occasion. It’s amazing what big results and coverage you can get with such a small amount of product.
What occasion would you use this foundation for? Or is the occasion every day because you are experiencing breakouts like me! Let me know in the comments below.
