Penelope Cruz July Vogue 2011 Get The Look

Natural beauty with a twist of sexy is always on my list of makeup looks I trend. I am obsessing over this cover of Vogue with Penelope, she is outrageously stunning. Here is a break down of how to get a similar look at home.

1.Start by applying a tinted moisturizer that will even out discoloration, and yet still allow your skin to show through.

2. Use a bronzer/blush duo to add some sunshine and life to your face. Apply bronzer where the sun usually hits (nose, forehead, upper cheeks), and then apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks

3. Apply a matte lipstick shade that is close to your natural lip color like the MAC Jeanius Lipstick.

4. Makes your eyes stand out by applying the Debut Eyeshadow (shimmering cream with gold pearl) under your brow bone and into your tear duct. Then pack (pressing so as to not fling shadow everywhere) the Main Attraction Blush (shimmering rose) all over the lower eyelid. Next use the Pose Eyeshadow (shimmering taupe) in the contour and then smoke out your eyes  with the Interview Eyeshadow (shimmering dark brown) by applying it close to your upper and lower lash line.

Love the look, and thanks for the instructions on the bronzer and eye palette! $147 feels a little pricey for a grad student like me. Are there cheaper brands that do the trick? Also – how long does all of this stuff last?
