3 Ways To Holiday Shop Stress-Free

Holiday shopping 2015 is here and between my husband’s immediate family and mine, there are 35 people. So, to say I have a lot of people to shop for when the holiday’s hit is an understatement since I am not even including my good friends in the family total. And, while I love holiday shopping, we all know there is always a Scrooge out there to make the joyous experience a little bit miserable (I tend to think they go to the mall where innocent holiday shoppers are and purposefully jack with them and laugh about it later with some weird evil cackle). Since I am a busy mom and quite literally don’t have the time in my life to deal with the above scenario, I like to keep my holiday shopping more pleasant and stress-free. In fact, there are a few things I do to ensure that I still love the holidays even if I do run into a crazy person. I mean, I love shopping, and I refuse to let someone ruin it for me. So with that said, here are 3 ways to holiday shop stress-free.

holiday shop stress free by getting all of your Christmas gifts in one spot!

Get all of your holiday shopping done at Walmart's one-stop-shop!

1) “Make a List, Check it Once”: Before you go out and brave the holiday crowds, you need to have a game plan. You should know exactly who is on your list, and what it is that you are buying. Doing this not only saves you a whole lot of time, but it also keeps you from having a holiday panic attack when you realize you forgot your grandma’s favorite perfume. Trust me, I have been there, done that.

2) Dress Comfy and in Style – I am pretty short, like 5’1 short. So, in most of my shopping experiences, everyone is at least half a foot taller than me. Honestly, sometimes I feel like I should counter-act the difference with some heels. However, holiday shopping in heels is about the worst idea of all time, so it’s best just to go comfy. Comfy doesn’t mean that you need to look like you just rolled out of bed though either. My suggestion would be to wear some flats, skinny jeans, and a t-shirt. If your hair is a wreck, throw on a trendy felt brimmed hat and top your look off with some gloss. Unfortunately, though, If you are short, dressing comfy won’t help you. My suggestion would be to hold up a sign as you walk that says, “Hey, I am down here.” Hopefully then, people won’t accidentally walk into you and over you (short people problems).

3) One-Stop-Shop – If I can get a majority of what I need from one place, it’s an absolute win, and I have more time to spend with my family and focus on what the holiday season is all about. For instance, Walmart has a fragrance aisle that caters to a chunk of people on my shopping list. Since I am a beauty blogger, getting something beauty related from me is totally normal and pretty expected. So here is how I would do it, I would roll into Walmart stealth style and go directly to the beauty department and follow my nose to all the pretty scents in the fragrance aisle. Then I would snag a Curve for Men Cologne (perfect for a son, nephew or brother, etc.) and Elizabeth Arden Red Door for my mother-in-law, and the You and I One Direction for my kids’ babysitter. For the other ladies in my life, Walmart has some other fabulous choices (like Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds or fantasy BRITNEY SPEARS) that are perfect holiday gifts as well. This holiday season, let’s all take a vow not to be the crazy person all holiday shoppers flee from and cry about later. Let be pleasant, prepared, and stress-free.

Tell me which fragrance you would want to buy for a family member or friend and you will automatically be entered for a chance to win a $100 Walmart gift card!
