Review and First Impressions Marc Jacobs Holiday Makeup Object Of Desire Face and Eye Palette
I absolutely love holiday makeup sets. They are truly some of my favorite reviews because they are fun and festive, usually a great value, and have multiple makeup products at a discounted price. My first impression of this Limited Edition Marc Jacobs holiday makeup Object Of Desire Face and Eye Palette set is that it has everything you need for a complete makeup look. You can create a dark smoky eye makeup look or a simple everday makeup look with glowing skin too. I love how the casing has everything is housed inside and the tassle is a cute embelishment too. Plus, the price at $69 is great for everything that you get in this makeup set for holiday 2016.

Swatches Marc Jacobs Object Of Desire Face and Eye Palette Holiday Set
These are gorgeous eyeshadows in the Marc Jacobs holiday set, don’t you think? The biggest reasons for purchasing this value set was because of the rich pigmented colors that would work for creating multiple holiday makeup looks. I loved the blush, bronzer and highlighter too, but it was the Marc Jacobs eyeshadow colors that won me over. Actually, it was the In the Dark, deep brown shimmer shade that caught my attention most.
Eyeshadow Swatches from left to right: Lights On , Candlelight, Dimmer, Violet Hour, Twilight, In the Dark
I think all of the colors in this eyeshadow set are stunning, but they are a little powdery when you dip a makeup brush in it. So, I would recomend prepping your eyes with primer and then applying the colors.
Highlighter, Blush, Bronzer from Left to Right: Luminizer in Make a Sheen (cool gold shimmer), Blush in Exhibitionist (peachy rose), O!Mega Bronzer in Tantric
Again, the pigments are gorgeous but you can see that they are a little powdery in these swatches. With that said, you don’t need a ton to get rich pigment, just take note that your makeup palette will get a bit dusty looking with these colors.
Overall Thoughts and Opinions
If you are looking for a value holiday cosmetic set, get this one. I like the packaging, the colors, the ease of use and how travel friendly it is. It would make the perfect present or for personal use, especially if it’s paired with the limited edition Marc Jacobs makeup brush set. Just saying.
