Yummy Lips

I love having bold colored lips as you know, but sometimes I find that in an hour the color is clumping onto dry, un-exfoliated skin. I have tried many lipsticks formulations to see if that’s what causes it, but no, it’s just peeling skin and it drives me absolutely crazy! If you experience this too, here is a great homemade recipe that will help you exfoliate your lips that actually tastes good as well!

What you need:

  1. Something to store this in like a glass jar with a lid etc.
  2. Brown Sugar
  3. Jojoba oil: Jojoba oil is a pure and natural plant extract that is very close to our own natural sebum (oil) and is found in many beauty products. It has deep penetration but is known to not leave an oily residue and can be used on people that even have acne. You can purchase this at most grocery stores if they have a health food section or you can find it on-line.

Mix 1/3 cup of  Brown Sugar to 2 TBS of  Jojoba oil. More or less depending on how dense you want it to be. Take a very tiny amount and rub it around on your lips for about 15-30 seconds paying close attention to the inner lip. Next just lick your lips and add your lipstick.  Pretty simple right?? I know! People actually sell this stuff when it’s so, so easy to make! This would also make a great (and in-expensive) Mothers Day gift paired with a fun lipstick, just a thought.
