How to Style a Wrap Dress

A wrap dress is an easy way to get ready fast. It feels like you are wearing a robe, except for that it’s an acceptable form of fashion that you can actually walk out the door wearing (score). The best way to style this dress is to wrap the string around your waist and tye it at the side so it is secure. If your dress does not have a wrap around string, lucky you! Sometimes a wrap dress leaves a little opening, so I always wear a long tank dress unerneath so that I don’t flash anyone.

I think the best thing about wearing a dress that wraps is that it’s great for hiding any post baby belly. If your dress fits right, it shouldn’t be too big or too small and should conceal your tummy a bit. My green wrap dress is a small and fits perfectly. One of my favorite thing’s about it is that the string is long and so it can be wrapped all around my waist and I don’t need to worry about it coming un-tied.

With that said, this is how I am styling my wrap dress for a fall winter/look:

• Long sleeve wrap dress
• Wrapping the string around my waist and tying it on the side
• Hide tummy
• Casual tan fall booties that transition into winter
• Long tank dress underneath
• Simple gold necklace

My Favorite Wrap Dress Style for Fall/Winter

When I bought my wrap dress, what caught my attention was the long sleeves, the ribbed knitted fabric, and the where it hit on my legs. Because the weather is cooler, a longer dress that wraps was essential for me to buy and to stay stay warm in. Wrap Dress with Booties

Wearing a wrap dress with booties is one of my favorite looks for fall/winter. It is the perfect casual style for women on the go who also want to be comfortable. Dependent on the length of the dress, I like to wear booties and in my opinion, this midi dress looks fantastic with them. With that said, if you wear a shorter wrap dress, wearing long boots would be perfect, but short boots would look good too.
