Urban Decay Backtalk Blush and Eyeshadow Palette Review

I was sent the Urban Decay Backtalk Blush and Eyeshadow palette a few weeks back and I wanted to review it for you guys and let you know what I think. I will only be going over what I think of the color combination, how easy it is to use, color quality and how it lasts. I have also created a basic makeup look using the  Urban Decay Backtalk palette that you can eaily  apply at home. But for now, here are the basics of what I think of this eyeshadow and blush makeup set and if it’s worth the money for you to invest in.

Check out this review of the Urban Decay Backtalk eyeshadow and blush palette.

URBAN DECAY BACKTALK FIRST IMPRESSIONS AND REVIEW

At first glance I think this is a great palette. I love that it has a combo of eyeshadow and blushes to choose from. The blush and eyeshadow colors are all very wearable for medium to light skin tones. They might be a little too pale for deeper skin tones, but I have yet to try that to give an exact opinion. I like the packaging, although I feel like the mirror situation is a little odd as it comes in and out. But, whatever. That’s not a big deal; atleast there is a mirror.

Top Left to Right: Three Sheets, Bare, Curve, Baktalk

Bottom Left to Right: Shade, Attitude, WTF, 180

There are two shades in this eyeshadow palette that are similar to the UD Heat palette. WTF is really similar to Cayenne and 180 is similar to Ember.

Overall these Urban Decay Backtalk Eyeshadow Colors stayed pretty well by themselves though using an eyeshadow primer is always essential in my mind.

Urban Decay Backtalk Blush Colors

There are four blush colors to choose from in this palette although one looks like it could be used as a highlighter. Well, I would personally only use it as a highlighter. Of all of the colors, I am LOVING the Cheap Shot. Next is Low Key and then Double Take. Last, Party Foul although, again, I wouldn’t use it as a blush.

Cheap Shot: Shimmery Purple Plumb Shade

Double Take: Matte Rosy Shade

Low Key: Shimmery Pinky-Peach Shade

Party Foul: Shimmery Super Superrr Pale Pink Shade

For a blush set, this is a great combo. I also appreciate that the blushes don’t have chunks of glitter and that it’s more of a shimmery sheen. All I can say is, it’s really gorgeous.

URBAN DECAY BACKTALK PALETTE INGREDIENTS AND SAFETY

As far as the ingredients in the eyeshadow and blush and if they are safe to use, lets talk. Here is the entire ingredient list for you to check out below. I have made the questionable ingredients bold so you can be in the know if you are concerned about safety. I am going off of the safety based on the EWG scores.

Talc, Zinc Stearate, Dimethicone, Squalane, Glyceryl Caprylate, Nylon-12, Boron Nitride, Silica, Magnesium Carbonate, Lauroyl Lysine, Alumina, Tin Oxide. All Shades May Contain (+/-): Mica, Titanium Dioxide-scored medium in safety (Ci 77891), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499), Carmine (not vegan friendly) (Ci 75470), Ultramarines (Ci 77007), Red 28 Lake (Ci 45410), Red 30 Lake (Ci 73360), Red 7 Lake (Ci 15850), Barium Sulfate (Ci 77120), Yellow 5 Lake (Ci 19140).

I checked each ingredient individually and all but one scored poorly. I don’t know about the heavy metal content but it’s safe to say that this is a safe product to use. With that said, I can’t speak for how everything is tested and it’s purity if you have allergies. Silica and Dimethicone can be clogging for people who have acne proned skinned so if that’s you, be careful.
