Review: New Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream and Contour Lip Pencils

Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream and Contour Lip Pencil Review

If you haven’t noticed by now, I am slightly addicted to loud-lookin-lipsticks. So, when a few of the Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Creams and Contour Lip Liners showed up at my door, I was pretty excited about it! Of course, for those of you who aren’t ready to jump into the bright lipstick trend (although I think you should), Bite Beauty has plenty of other subtle shades in their other collections I will link you to at the bottom of this post.

Experience

Lucky for me the colors that arrived are very much a “Kendra” choice.  Sancerre is more of a pinkish-red shade and Rioja is a deep red. I already have colors in my MASSIVE lipstick stash that are similar to these two, but, I most definitely don’t have anything that applies or wears anything remotely close to them either.

Due to the high pigmentation of Bite Beauty’s product, a little goes a very long way. They kind of remind me of the OCC Lip Tars as far as pigmentation goes, but dry to a gorgeous matte, satin appearance. I was also incredibly impressed with the staying power of the Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Creams; both shades stayed all day long and only faded down to a really beautiful lip stain. Even when I went to sleep  (yes, after I washed my face) I still had some left on!

I have to say, I am a huge fan.

ExperienceI have never had a lip pencil that was square-ish for starters. But, I also haven’t had one that was squar-ish AND slanted at the same time like the Bite Beauty Contour Lip Liners. Needless to say, this was a new experience for me, and it was amazing! You would think that the shape would make it awkward to apply, but it was actually much easier to apply than the traditional shape of lip pencils.  This shape made it much easier to follow the curve of my lip, as well as, give my cupids bow a more defined shape.

Again, I love the colors that were sent! Cabernet is more of a fuchsia shade, Wine is a more of an orange-red, and Cashew is a perfect nude. You can apply these all over your lips if you are looking for a slight stain to your lips, otherwise, you can pair them with your Cashmere Lip Creams. If you are wanting to pair them with the Lip Creams I think looks great with Sancerre, Wine with Rioja, and Nude with something that is pale in color.

thoughts-opinionsHere are a few tips I learned while using these products: 1) Be careful when applying the Cashmere Lip Creams, like I said, they are extremely pigmented. 2) Don’t twist the Contour Lip Liner up very much because it will break; just a little bit at a time, and go soft with it because it’s more creamy in texture, which makes it super easy to apply.

With that said, I haven’t found anything so far from Bite Beauty that I haven’t been OBSESSED with, and these two new products are no exception! I really love both of the products and they will definitely be items I purchase once they are gone, especially at their great price!
