Shades Of Red: Iconic Red Lips

If I were to be honest (okay-being honest), when I pull out my tube of red lipstick, I instantly feel a tiny bit more glamorous. There is something in me that wants to connect with the women who so famously have worn this iconic shade.  Ten years ago (Junior in high school), I wouldn’t have been caught dead wearing a bold red lip; high-school for me was pretty-pink gloss and impressing boys with them. But now, red statement lips are being worn by every age –thanks to  Taylor Swift who broke the mold–making this look possible to wear with pretty much anything. In-fact, often times the only makeup I get on in the morning is a flashy shade of red. It pairs well with my “go-to” top knot hairstyle,  jeans and a t-shirt. (I might be a beauty blogger and makeup artist, but I am a mom of 2 under 2.5….you get the picture.)

So in celebrating red lips and the women who have worn them, here are my favorites shades of red (ish) lip choices and some famous lips to match. Which celeb and lipstick do you identify with the most?  I am going to have to say Emma Stone for myself.
