Get the Look: Vogue October 2011 Cover with Michelle Williams

If she wasn’t already a fantastic memory in Dawson’s Creek and Blue Valentine, Michelle Williams hits it out of the park in her Vogue Magazine cover shoot for October. I literally stopped dead in my tracks when I saw this cover because I thought it was Marilyn Monroe herself! Williams, who has just completed filming the movie “My Week with Marilyn,” is a dead on look a like for the queen of beauty and glamour herself. The look in her eye, the cut of her dress and the blowout on her hair seal the deal for me. I didn’t even want to put anything over her photos from this shoot they were so amazing! Let’s see how she got it done.

1. The Dress: Williams stayed away from the classic white pleated dress of Monroe’s fame but nails it with a sequined piece. For me it was all about the neckline, a deep sweetheart, that made the look complete, it is softer and more curvaceous than a v-neck and really plays up the femininity factor.

2. The Earrings: Marilyn Monroe screams glamour and fame; so do the amazing diamond chandelier earrings on Williams. Choose a pair that are over-sized to really stick out of a full blowout, but with a studded back so the top is stationary and more sturdy.

3. The Lips: Red lipstick is classic and there is a good shade for everyone. Wear a bold berry color this fall.

Oh my goodness I saw this magazine on the news stand and thought it was Monroe. I just realized/learned it wasn’t! She looks epic!

    • ha-easy to mistake, they look so similar! She does look epic, love those lips!

    • I know its amazing right? I read an article about how she had to gain weight and change her type of workouts to just fit the role of Marilyn for the movie. She obviously does a fantastic job with it!
