Spring Fashion: Rain or Shine

Spring is here and with it comes some serious bi- polar weather. One day it’s all sunshine, the next its a torrential down-pour and you are running for cover! But just because the rain is still here doesn’t mean you can’t experience some marvelous fashion trends. So to keep you in that spring spirit, here are four essential spring pieces to keep you warm on a chilly morning and make cooling off easy in the afternoon.

Choose a bright colored top in a light, cotton-blend fabric like this beautiful Sidewalk Cafe Blouse in yellow by Anthropologie. The wide arm holes and boat neck design of this shirt allow air to move around on a warmer afternoon. This piece would pair really nicely with a high-waisted skirt. I absolutely love the lace trim!

A light cardigan, like the one shown here from Anthropologie, is perfect for a cooler spring morning. The long sleeves give you warmth and the flowy material gives the light fabric movement which creates a nice texture. This cardigan will look good on any body type. Hint: look for a cardigan that isn’t bulky to avoid looking bigger than you are.

The revamped light weight work trouser is better than ever! I love this high-waisted pair at Gap.com. The light fabric is breathable, but the full length will keep you warm. You can find these in several colors, but I am in love with the honey brown pictured here. This cut of pants will look great on any body type because it sits straight through the hip and thigh and opens out nicely to a wide leg.

Our last layer is a gorgeous scarf. You can toss it in your bag in case it gets a bit chilly and still keep your style strong! I love this pastel scarf from Forever21 and for $9.80 you can’t go wrong!
