This summer I purchased a black crochet one piece swimsuit that I’m obsessed with and have worn a ton so far at the pool. But I wanted more than one option to wear, so I scouted out Target’s suit section to see what else I could find. I decided to do a dressing room try on haul and give you guys an up close-look at what’s happening in the bathing suit aisle of Target and show you the one pieces I’ve had my eyes on. I am looking for mom-friendly swimwear that isn’t going to fall off, show my butt cheeks, and slide around while carrying my children. Now that you know my bathing suit criteria let’s shop.
For reference for you all while you take a peek at this dressing room try on session at Target, I am 5 feet tall and weigh 110 pounds and typically wear a size 2-4 depending on how much chips and queso I have consumed throughout the week. I have a short torso and a petite body frame. All of these suits go up to an XXL, and I am wearing a size small in all of them.
Also, every single one of these swimwear options for summer are under $40!
I honestly wasn’t sure what I felt about this swimsuit when I first saw it as I’m not much of a flowers on a swimsuit kind of human. But, I thought I would go ahead and give it a go and show you anyways. I tried on the Embroidered Mesh Inset One Piece and felt really comfortable in it. I like the mesh detail and the fact that my booty wasn’t hanging out. Also, check out the back situation! I am loving the criss-cross tie back on this Target One Piece swimsuit.
This is one of my favorite Target one piece swimsuits I tried on. It might be one of my favorites in general because the front lace-up detail in so-dang-cute. I like that the back is scooped out and also that it is in black, but it also comes in a few other colors too.
For a more colorful one piece suit, check out this vibrant one! It has a scoop back that is cute, but I think the butt doesn’t cover enough real-estate in my opinion. I wouldn’t buy this one, but maybe it’s your thing?
When I saw this on Target one piece swimsuit on the rack I squealed inside my soul as I am a sucker for lace suits. But as I tried it on, it was apparent that this was not a suit that could be easily worn while swimming with children. I could totally wear this taveling Honolulu if I was bathing on a beach only, but for swimming purposes, I am 100% sure there would be constant wardrobe malfunctions. Maybe you could sew it up the front though, and it could work for you?
This one piece embroidered edge suit is one of my faves from this dressing room try on haul. It is full coverage minus the scoop open back. It’s simple and yet really trendy.
If you liked my becca black crochet one piece suit, you might like this much cheaper option. It’s a comfy suit that I would absolutely weat to the pool with my kids as a mom.
While this is not my typical style when it comes to one piece suits, this one is pretty cute. It’s incredibly practical for wearing to the pool while playing with your kids. Or, if you aren’t comfy with your stomach, this really hides anything that might make you feel self-conscious. Although, read mom body swimsuit confidence if this is something you struggle with. The only bummer is that I can’t find it online at Target anywhere.
There are many more Target one piece swimsuits I could have checked out for this try on haul, but I ran out of time. I loved this ruffle one piece swimsuit but was unsure about the booty coverage. I also really like thus Blouson Bandeau one piece because it will make anyone look like they have a rockin bod. These were the ones that caught my attention, what do you think?
Would you get any of these?
Let me know!
