I am a short petite girl at 5 feet nothing and between a size two and four depending on my chips and salsa obsession. Let me tell you, finding denim jeans that I don’t have to roll up, get altered or cut off at the bottom just to fit my small body type can be annoying. Often times the trendy styles of jeans like boyfriend and even skinny denim I want to wear are way, way too long for my shorter legs and I have to look in the petite section or find the ones that say “short”. So, if you are like me and don’t want to have to alter or crop your pants to fit yours smaller framed body, here is the Ultimate guide to stores and brands that carry petite jeans.
The Loft Has Petite Denim Jeans
One of my favorite places to shop for short petite women’s jeans and clothing in general is The Loft. I have found some of my favorite denim to wear in their petite section and they are good quality too. Like I said, I am 5 feet, and I’ve never had to crop or alter any jeans I have purchased from them. I have found petite boyfriend jeans, cuffed jeans, straight jeans, fray bottom jeans and every kind of petite skinny jeans like these, around. I also love the price tag for their pants because most of them are under $100 and they always, always have 30-50% off sales on the weekends. So, major yes.
Express Short and Petite Denim Jeans
My first time really searching for petite sizes for jeans was at Express believe it or not. It was the first time I didn’t have to cut the bottom of my boot cut denim in highschool. If you shop for petite denim at Express, make sure you look for the label that says “petite” or “short” like these grey ankle jean leggings. In other news, all of their everyday jeans are $88 and they often have crazy-good-deals when you purchase a second pair.
TopShop Petite Skinny, Flared, and Straight Leg Jeans
I have several pairs of Topshop pants like the super popular Jamie Petite Jeans that are ridiculously comfy. I usually score these at the Nordstrom Sale online because, free-shipping and free-returns (holla), but honestly they are a killer price at under $80 and they last a long time. If you want petite jeans that aren’t skinny, check out these Topshop Flared Jeans that would look perfect with a pair of killer heels or these straight leg denim pants.
Designer Petite Jeans
I own a few designer petite jeans and I have to say, they last forever, however, there are not many options at all. I’m assuming that’s because if you purchase designer jeans, you can afford to get them alterred. With that said, Nordstrom does FREE alterations, so if you find a pair of denim you love that aren’t petite, you can still purchase them an have them fitted to your height exactly and if you invest in a few pairs of high-end denim in general, they will stick around for years to come. My first pair of Petite designer jeans was Paige and I actually found them on a killer sale at Nordstrom. I love Paige jeans a ton, their denim has a little stretch and the shape is good for women who have a butt, just sayin. Check out these new Paige Hoxton High Waist Ankle Petite Jeans at Nordstrom. Citizens of Humanity also carries petite designer jeans like these petite mid-rise skinnies . J Brand doesn’t have petite jeans, but they are known for having pants that fit petites, in-fact, I have one pair of J-Brand Jeans and I’ve never had to alter them.
Budget Friendly Petite Jeans at Old Navy
To be honest, I have never purchased jeans from Old Navy, but I am so happy to see they have an entire section of denim for petites so I’m going to have to give them a try. If you are looking for budgt friend petite jeans, Old Navy has them for under $30 in about every trendy style there is like these Mid-Rise Raw Rockstar jeans that come in sizes 0-18 and these High Rise Power Jeans that are so-dang-cute! Honestly, you can’t beat the price on Old Navy’s pricing, that’s for sure.
Gap Has Petite Jeans for Short Women
Last but not least, GAP also has a great selection of Petite denim for short women. You can find all of their regular sized jeans in petite sizes which is a major win. I am loving these Real Straight Jeans and also these Perfect Mid-Rise Boot Jeans. There is a ton of choices, which are your faves below?
