There is something about summer fragrances that bring back memories of summers past. Maybe it’s sweet. Maybe it’s bittersweet. Either way, it’s incredible how impacting perfume can be with a memory… kind of like a melody.
Oh hey, that rhymed. Total accident… I am not that cool.

Finding good summer fragrances can be a daunting task, but it’s also apparently pretty important (since it’s associated with memories… melodies… and all). So, let me give you three suggestions that might help you out and save you from experiencing a sensory overload (and a possible migraine attack… ) from the perfume aisle.
Marc Jacobs Honey Perfume
Brand Overview: Honey by Marc Jacobs is a sunny delicious floral – energetic and alluring, with a sparkling, golden touch. The perfect mix of brightness and warmth.
Notes:
Top Note – Pear, Juicy Mandarin
Mid Note – Orange Blossom, Peach Nectar, Apricot, Honeysuckle
Base Note – Honey, Golden Vanilla, Smooth Woods
My Thoughts: Anything packaged in a bumble-bee inspired bottle like this has to be good. I’ve got to applaud Marc Jacobs on the perfume bottle design here- it’s spectacular (and I am sure he feels better now that he has my approval). What I noticed initially about this perfume was the citrus scent, but once it mingled with my skin, the vanilla and woodsy notes popped out and left this rich, but not overwhelming, floral fragrance.
Calvin Klein Eternity Summer
Brand Overview: Fresh & lively, this floral aqueous fragrance begins with sparkling notes of mandarin and the crispness of bamboo leaves. Pear and watermelon lend a colorful juiciness to the sunny floral bouquet of neroli, peony, waterlily and lush gardenia, while the sheerness of soft musks and white woods bring a veil of pure sensuality.
Notes:
Top notes: pear, mandarin, watermelon, bamboo leaves
Mid notes: peony, water lily, gardenia, neroli
Base notes: soft musk, white woods
My Thoughts: What captures me the most when I spritz the Calvin Klein Eternity summer fragrance is the pear mixed with waterlily. Overall, this is a pretty floral smelling fragrance, but the fruity notes do pop out a lot.
Escada Rockin’ Rio
Brand Overview: Escada Rockin’ Rio is a fruity floral fragrance. It is sweet yet fresh and fruity with the combination of tropical Coconut and Pineapple.
Notes:
Top Notes: Tangerine, Papaya
Mid Notes: Sugar Cane, Peach
Base Notes: Sandalwood, soft Musk
My Thoughts: With the sweet smell of sugar cane mixed with all of the citrus notes, this definitely makes it on the list as a summer fragrance. My favorite part about the Escada Rockin’ Rio fragrance is the peach scent that seems to be most apparent when mingled with my skin. It’s a very refreshing fragrance that is perfect for summer days or nights.
Are you looking for a new fragrance? Make sure to check out these three summer fragrances. But don’t blame me if you end up bringing them all home.
