Alright Beauties, big news!

First and foremost, you are going to flip when you hear my friend, and singer/songwriter Anna Gilbert’s new album! Her album is titled, The Able Heart, and you can own it and hear for yourself what I am talking about on November 5th 2013. I literally listened to the 1st song alone, on repeat, for an entire 45 min. drive to a photo-shoot. Secondly,  I asked Anna to share her 5 beauty faves, which I was dying to know. I kind of think she is one of those people that probably rolls out of bed lookin good (must be nice).

 As a side note, Anna and I have something in common, we both lived in Nashville, which basically turned us into “insta-buddies”; a term I coined far before Instagram (I am that cool). We have many mutual friends, and a mutual admiration for beauty products! Her personal cosmetic bag actually rivaled mine, which in turn, made me feel a little better about myself and my slight addiction to hoarding beauty products..

So…here are Anna’s faves! Are any of these yours?

1. Maybelline Cover Stick: “I have this whole acne thing that I am trying to work with, so I use the Maybelline cover stick for that. It’s cheap, but I love it.”

2. Pro active Oil Free Moisture: “I have tried everything and I don’t know why, but something about the Zinc (that’s an anti-inflammatory) really helps my skin.”

3. Stri-Vectin: Eye concentrate: “I am a huge recipient of dark circles. I think it’s a hereditary thing and this actually reduces it in 2-4 weeks. It also doesn’t dry my under eyes out.”

4. Bare Minerals: “I use the shade ‘fairly light.’ I love this makeup because it works well with my skin and doesn’t clog my pores.” 

5. Maybelline Great Lash: “Honestly, I am not even going to lie, I have been using this since high school. It has a big ol’ brush (mascara wand) on it and it’s really inexpensive.”

“Now listen, the last time I did an interview with a musician, the band ended up receiving multiple Grammies and preformed a song with Taylor Swift for The Hunger Games. I am not saying that I had anything to do with that (I mean, that would be cool), but I will say that I think I have good taste in music.
