eraclea Handcream and Lipbalm Review

With it being snowmageddon here in Portland, the cold and dry weather tends to leave me skin and lips feeling a bit lacking in the moisture department. Over the past week I have been putting the eraclea, simply-perfect hand cream and the eraclea, ever-moist lip balm to the test. So, let me tell you about these two products that were sent my way for review.

eraclea, simply perfect hand cream

From the Company: This rich cream, with its ultra-hydrating blend of ingredients, moisturizes and nourishes the hands. Enriched with the HylaSponge®System and infused with lipids and vitamins it continues to hydrate for up to 8 hours, soothing even the driest hands on contact. It leaves your hands feeling soft, smooth and hydrated. It is quickly absorbed with no greasy residue.

Ingrediants: Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Hyaluronic acid, Glycosaminoglycans, Hydrolyzed silk, Ceramide-3/Milk lipids, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) butter, Tocopheryl acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Ascorbic acid, Allantoin, Panthenol, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) peel oil, Citrus Grandis  (grapefruit) peel oil, Carbomer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Triethanolamine

My Thoughts: When I first opened the eraclea simply perfect, hand cream, I honestly thought it smelled a little funny. I thought it smelled kind of like play-dough (yeah, I have kids), but it actually was suppose to smell like oranges. I honestly didn’t gather that it was suppose to smell like that until I read the ingrediant list and saw the orange peel.  So, for me, this wasn’t the best smelling thing although the smell wasn’t super strong. As far as the moisturizing aspect of it, it did feel great on my skin when I first applied it and it lasted a long time. I also like that it didn’t leave a greasy residue as they stated. Greasy hands is definitely no bueno for me.

Price: $20.00 2 oz

Rating: I really like you (4 points…don’t like the smell)

eraclea ever-moist lip balm

From the Company: A deeply hydrating lip treatment that helps repair dry, distressed lips while replenishing lost moisture. It is rich in emollients, to give lips a satiny-smooth look and feel, while shea butter, jojoba, and antioxidants condition and revitalize lips.

Ingrediants: Petrolatum, Hydrogenated polyisobutene, Jojoba esters, Beeswax, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) seed butter, Olea europaea (olive) oil, Hyaluronic acid, Ethylhexyl palmitate, Silica dimethyl silylate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) butter, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) seed oil, Tocopheryl acetate, Sodium hyaluronate, Ethylene/propylene/styrene Copolymer, Butylene/ethylene/styrene copolymer, Butylene glycol, Flavor

My Thoughts: As you can see, this eraclea ever-moist, lip balm definitely agreed with my lips. On contact it made my super chapped lips come back to life almost immediately. I also loved that is had a creamsicle smell to it that was amazing and took me back to my summer days of chasing down the icecream man as kid. Side note, I will never let me kids chase down the icecream man ever…does that make me a mean mom? Anyways, I love that this has anti-oxidants in it as well as the shea butter and jojoba. I really can’t brag about this enough, it’s truly a great lip balm if you are on the hunt.

Price: $16.00 .4fl oz

Rating: I am in love with you (5 points for being awesome)

  • Cosmetic Sanctuary

Looks great! My lips need a lot of help, so I’ll check into this!

  • Nidia Doherty

With so many hand creams available – I must get one in every subscription box! I wouldn’t pick a play-doh scented one! What were they thinking? lol. I’m with you on the balm – this winter has me using more balm than I have in my LIFE. And I live in Florida! crazy. Glad you found one you like!

  • Nicki Zevola

Never tried eraclea products before…but who needs to, when you’ve tried it for me! Oh!

I’m super excited about the lip balm. Been using Clinique Superbalm and fresh lip balms for years, because both contain SPF, but I could switch to the eraclea for nighttime use before bed. My lips get SO CHAPPED.

  • Ange

I need to try out the lippy! Your lips look super moisturized!

  • erikatheicyone

These look like terrific products but the sizes are very small and they are spendy.

  • I’d love the lip balm. Ehh I’m sensitive to scents so not sure about the hand cream!

  • Anastasia

I use eraclea brightening serum and love it!

  • I couldn’t put anything on my lips that smells like play dough, though.

  • I’m seriously so over this weather. Everything smells like Play Doh to me too… kids ruin us LMAO I have my kids play with LUSH FUN because you can mold it like Play Doh and it smells WAY better lol and it’s soap so it’s a win/win
