On first sight, isn’t the packaging for the Tarte Gifted Amazonian Clay Mascara ridiculously cool? I wish I could say that looks don’t count, but in this case–they do. That is what first made the initial impression and desire to buy(oh, and the $10.00 price point thanks to Sephora’s black friday deals in November).
Gifted Amazonian Clay Mascara: This mascara wand is long, slender, and sleek. Its brush has very compact bristles, allowing plenty of opportunity to get your lashes real good.
MultiplEYE Lash Primer: Long and spirally would be the most appropriate way to describe this brush. This type of brush does a great job of grasping your lashes and giving it a bit of a curl.

Like I said before, I LOVED the packaging, so I am hoping at this point that I feel the same way about the product-it has received lots of high praise. As you can see from the picture above, it is no joke when I say, “I HAVE NO LASHES.” Sadly, it is the truth. But oh-well, that is why we have mascara!
Moving on, I did use the MultiplEYE lash primer before using this mascara since they came in a set. It did add some length, but it was obviously hard to see since it goes on white! Next I applied the first coat and was really impressed with how beautifully is glided onto my lashes, making them look thick and full. Then came the 2nd coat of mascara which can be a “make it or break it” kind of thing for me; I was pleasantly surprised! No oober chunking of lashes, no need for a lash comb, no sticky lashes, and no desire to take it off immediately!
But the best thing about this mascara was that I went to the gym and worked my booty off for an hour- lashes were still looking amazing. Then I kicked it up a notch and took a shower, avoiding my lashes (but steaming them up tremendously), and guess what? My lashes still looked fabulous afterwards!
So I think I may have found a new best friend in the mascara department. I am a happy girl.
