I have had these lipstick’s sitting at my house for a while and I keep wanting to swatch and review them but am just now getting around to it. They have pretty much been stocking me around my house! So I thought in order to deter them from entering my brain during my vacation next week to Hawaii, I better post. Are you curious yet?
Okay- I will go ahead and reveal that I am reviewing and swatching the Mega Last lipsticks, and the Mega Shield SPF 15 Lipstick from…drum roll….Wet n’ Wild!! Shocked? Me too…let’s see what I think.
Mega Last Lipsticks
Left to Right: Purty Persimmon, Carrot Gold, Don’t Blink Pink, Pinkerbell, Dollhouse Pink
What It Is: This Mega Last Lipstick from Wet n’ Wild is a 4 hour, longwear, semi-matte lipstick that has a creamy finish. It also has, “Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips.”
Wearing Dollhouse Pink Mega Last Wet n’ Wild Lipstick
My Thoughts: My first thought when seeing these lipsticks was excitement…look at the colors! Are you kidding me? No, I am not. So once I had them opened, I of course couldn’t wait to try them on because A) they are only $2.99 each and B) the ingredients listed looks enticing. Could this be to good to be true?
Well, yes and no. This lipstick doesn’t have the best of smells, but it’s not bad either. It also is very intense in color, and matte, which didn’t look that great on my dry lips. However, when I added a tiny bit of Chapstick prior to application it changed everything. And last, the bullets of the lipstick kept falling out which told me that indeed it was a cheaper product. But my lips did look good and no one would EVER know that it wasn’t M.A.C.
Rating: We can be friends but…(3 points) but you need to stay in your casing so you don’t get on my clothes when I am applying.
Mega Shield-Lip Color SPF 15
Left to Right: Pink Champagne, It’s a Girl, Salsa Lessons, Within These Adobe Walls
What It Is: The Wet n’ Wild Mega Shield Lip Color SPF 15 is clearly a lipstick with an SPF. It is sheer to moderate coverage, glides on easily and has, “Vitamin E, Amino Acids, Avocado Oil, and Rice Bran Oil that moisturize and condition for silky, soft comfort.”
My Thoughts: Again, not the best smelling lipstick. It does go on easily but it does come off easily too. This is very common for any lipstick that is sheer to moderate coverage, not just Wet n’ Wild. Also, the bullets of this lipstick did stay in place which is good. I highly appreciate the fact that this is only $2.99 and has color WITH an SPF of 15! That is pretty amazing really.
Rating: I think I really like you (4 points)
Overall Thoughts And Opinions
While I think there is something to be said for the never ended feet to find the perfect lipstick color and formulation- at $2.99 a piece you can purchase 9 lipsticks for $26.91. That is pretty good since I know some lipsticks that are $32.00 for 1.
Beyond The Blog
I gave Z some eyeshadow to play with while I was taking photos for this. We call makeup “boop boops” because that is what I say to her as I “boop” the blush brush on her cheeks in the morning while I am doing my makeup. Either way- this kept my toddler girl occupied for a good hour! Love it.
XOXO and don’t forget to enter my giveaway!

I LOVE Don’t Blink Pink! It’s hard to find a bright pink lipstick that works on me, but that one does.
I was wondering where you found Purty Persimmon & Carrot Gold? I haven’t had much luck finding them.

These ones were sent to me…but I have seen Wet n Wild at Wallgreens and Riteaid. I don’t know where you live otherwise I would give you other suggestions. You can buy them online- but I don’t know if you would want to do that. I am sorry!
