Color Me Happy: Easter Sunday makeup

Easter Sunday is TOMORROW! In our family, Easter isn’t just chocolate bunnies and letting my 2 year old have a major sugar high (although who doesn’t like an Easter egg hunt, really). We are Christians and my husband is a pastor which means we will be headed to church in the morning to celebrate!

But- I kind of like to celebrate in-style, it’s a tradition thing. SO- I was excited when my friend Becca at Preyforfashion put together an Easter outfit guide for some inspiration. I love all of the outfits she put together, but the one that was most my style was number 2. I am obsessing over the floral jacket although it’s a guarantee my husband will most likely hate it. Oh-well, can’t please everyone.

Since outfit number 2 was my fav, I created a makeup look that would pair well with it. Instead of going with neutral shades, I decided I would bump it up this year in the makeup department for Easter. Let’s try a little bold eye action using coral and pinks; I promise this does not look creepy in the least.

The numbered colors below are the three eyeshadow shades that I used to make this look. Number 1 and 2 were both blushes and #3 was a pearly-cream shade. Here are some color choices that are similar: #1-Ablaze from MAC, #2 Jete from MAC, and for #3 Vanilla, also from MAC.

The good new is that even if you don’t like the outfit that I love, this eye-makeup would pair well all of the outfits but number 3. If you do like 3 though, just swap the Stila Blue Ribbon liner out for a black one.
