Here is something out of the norm for me and my blog…a glimpse into life outside of the world of cyberspace. But before I venture further, I wanted to let you all know a little secret and why blog postings have been a bit more spaced lately. Currently my body is a baby factory and it definitely feels like nothing less! I am 11 weeks prego, and baby #2 has been making me sick, sick, sick and definitely not experiencing ANY pregnancy glow (not even a hint) if you know what I mean. With that said, my goal is to post Tuesday, Thursday’s and Saturday’s for now and I am crossing my fingers that with my second trimester coming up, I will feel better more frequently! While I clearly love beauty products, makeup etc…I find myself feeling like a hypocrite because this has been my look for the past 3 weeks! Don’t judge me!
Moving on…I wanted to show off a few beautiful pictures from a fun photo-shoot collaboration of a mock-baby shower/lifestyle photo-shoot I did with some extremely talented vendors. Pictures were taken by the fabulous Photographer Sara Gray, Floral by Rosemary Stafford Floral Design, Styling by Billede Design, graphics/paper by The Knot and Feather, diaper cake/pancake stacks, favor boxes by One Divine Party, stylish fashions by Leanna NYC, make-up by me, food by Amy Childs, Macarons by Nuvrei and pastries by Lovejoy Bakers.
Now that you know I am prego, you can understand that being on this shoot was complete torture with all of the yummy food and dessert on display in front of my face and lingering in the air. My stomach was growling so loud I am sure I slightly freaked out everyone else. But hey, I am eating for two now (excuses, excuses) so I could have easily cleared that table by myself. 1 for baby- 5 for me.
As you can tell this is not a high fashion photo-shoot (but the clothing is very high end), so showing up to a baby shower (even a mock one) looking like a proto-type of lady gaga is probably not acceptable. So I kept our models on the more natural side of town, keeping their skin fresh and glowing and makeup subtle and spring-like. I played up the pinks, corals, and red’s for lips and accented the eyes with purples, burnt oranges, and the ever so popular wing tipped liner on a few of the girls.
-I hope you all are having a fun Tuesday and Spring hopefully has started out with a bang wherever you are living. Here in Portland, it is gray, raining, with a zero chance of sunshine…time to pop that vitamin D to get me from here to when Summer arrives.
