DIY Colorblock Bag

Hello lovely people! I have missed writing to you all about the glories of being a self-appointed fashionista, but you can wipe those tears away, because I get to post to you today!

I saw this amazing post on Polyvore in my weekly emails about a DIY colorblock bag. We know from previous posts that colorblocking is very popular this season and so are all those amazingly bright colors designed by Pantone. Now let me go right out and say that I am totally stealing this idea from the post that Polyvore featured by Le Minimalist. So please, please go check out her blog as she has some awesome Do-It-Yourself fashion ideas and style tips. Alright, here we are!

Supplies:

  •  Inexpensive purse
  •  Spray paint in desired color{s}
  •  Blue painter’s tape
  •  Steel wool

Go:

{1} Tape off the area of the purse that you do not want paint to come into contact with. Be sure to cover everything really well. {2} Clean the surface you want to paint and buff it lightly with steel wool. {3} In an open area, spray the purse with your desired colors. {4} Once dry, remove tape and rock it!

Note: I will be trying this tomorrow night with my sister but I was so excited to share it with you guys I couldn’t wait to put up the post till then. I’ll give you the update on Saturday with some photos of our process!
