DIY: Personalized Gift Idea

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I moved from Portland, OR to Austin, TX with my little family. So far everything has been going pretty smooth and I even have my home mostly all decorated which feels amazing (pics to follow soon). I am really stoked about my new home and the 80 degree weather I got to have today in April as oppose to the current doom and rainy gloom of Portland’s current weather system.  But even though I am excited about all of that…I can’t say that leaving what you are use to is ever easy…its only been one week and I miss that stupid rain that I usually curse at. So it was a pleasant surprise when I got a not a Birchbox from one of my Besties, Amy, from Onedivineparty.com. She put together a DIY, personalized gift box of things to make me not so homesick and I wanted to share it with you all.

Ahh Portland…I miss you already.

I knew I would love this the personalized gift the second that I saw the outside of the box…it totally made me laugh. I know I am not the only one that has had a love/hate relationship with Birchbox.

What I loved the most about this DIY Love Box was that everything inside had meaning and purpose for being there. Inside the card she wrote why she put each thing in the box which made opening each item that much more special.

Do I really need to say anything about this cosmetics bag by Liz Bags? I can’t get over how perfect this pink and pretty cosmetics bag represents Portland. I am seriously so in-love with this that I am not entirely sure I could use it; it might go on display in my new blogging room. Oil- for your fab locks in that crazy heat.

Honestly, if I could bathe in this Moroccan Oil, I would in a heart beat. Not only does it do amazing damage control with my processed hair, it has done a fab job of keeping my hair tame. (But seriously, the scent is ah-maz-ing!)

This Morrocan Oil is around $14.00 for a 3.4 oz bottle that will last a pretty long time. You don’t need very much at all to see results and it is truly worth every penny.

Popcorn- for Ezra & the girls

Two things: 1) If you are on a diet, don’t even think about getting the Poplandia Popcorn…the mix of carmel and chocolate takes its goodness to another level and you won’t be able to stop. 2) Give this to Ezra and the Girls?? Yeah, we will see if that happens.

Polish- to add some bright sass-a-frass any day!

This Floss Gloss Pro Nail Lacquer in Fastlane might take the cake for fave. spring nail color. This nail lacquer is a bright red with orange undertones and is gorgeous. I actually have never heard of this brand before so I am excited to give it a spin. Has anyone else tried Floss Gloss Pro Nail Lacquer before?
