One of the major makeup trends for Fall 2014 is Metallic eyeshadow. This can be golds, silvers, and any other metal-looking eyeshadow. I love this trend for fall because it can be either just a touch of metallic with a pretty-pout or a full-blown-metallic eye with a more simple lip.
This metallic eyeshadow trend also looks good on pretty much everyone if they are using the right metallic color. For instance, I wouldn’t recommend using a blue-ish silver on your eye if you struggle with dark circles. I would however say to use a gold shadow and possibly a white liner to make your eyes appear more awake.
Another great thing about the Metallic makeup trend is that most of us already have these eyeshadows in our makeup bags from a past season.
Random Thought: Is it just me or is there always a Metallic makeup trend?
Either way, I have always been a fan of Metallics. Let me show you an easy look for you to re-create at home so you can rock one of the hottest Fall 2014 Makeup Trends.
Step 1} After basing your eye with an eyeshadow primer, apply a silver or pewter eyeshadow to your entire lower eyelid.
Pro Tip: DO NOT sweep this color onto your lower eyelid unless you like the appearance of metallic shimmer under your entire eye. Use a patting motion to avoid this… like you are pressing it in instead of flinging the eyeshadow around.
Step 2} Blend out the eyeshadow into your crease with a blender brush and apply a white shimmery eyeshadow underneath the brow bone for highlighting.
Pro Tip: When blending with the blender brush, make sure to do small circular motions from the outer contour to the inner, and wipe off your brush before blending again.
3} With the same Metallic shade that was used on your upper eye-lid, sweep under the outer half of your lower-lash line and blend towards the center with the white shade.
Pro Tip: Use a liner brush in order to really make this look flawless.
4} With a white liner, line your lower lash line, and apply your mascara.
That’s it!
