Get The Look: Silver Bells Holiday 2012 Makeup Look

Yes I am already celebrating Christmas and its not even Thanksgiving yet! In fact, last night my husband and I were flipping through Netflix trying to find any Christmas movie that I hadn’t seen yet to watch, and there was no such luck. Currently I am trying to work out and lose this baby weight, so I have been pounding down the cheesy movies while I run on the elliptical. It makes the time (and the baby weight) go a little quicker because I absolutely HATE running. Literally.

Also, in order to make my Christmas obsession that much more over the top, I am going to do an entire series  of makeup looks based off of Holiday songs. So, I hope you like Christmas songs as much as I do because I am actually singing the song currently while I am typing this. Straight up nerd style.

Silver Bells

Products Used

Here are some of the products that I used: Jouer Matte Moisture Tint, Too Faced Better Than False Lashes, Tarte Emphaseyes Clay Eyeliner, Makeup Forever Aqua Shadow Stick in Pearly White, Silver Loose Eyeshadow (don’t know what brand), Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss

Get The Look

Now this is the “non creepy” silver holiday look! I like silver, but sometimes people can get a bit silver happy and it just ends up looking kinda weird. I don’t want to look weird….and I don’t want you to look weird. So here we go!

1) Based eyes with Makeup Forever Aqua Shadow Stick (or something similar to hold makeup on).

2) Apply light silver shade into contour of eye (like the silver shade above).

3) Apply sparkles with a brush patting it on. I didn’t really like how this looked so I went over it in step 5).

4) Sweep silver shade under lower lash line from outer corner to inner corner.

5) Press on the same silver loose shadow onto full lower eyelid with either your fingertip or a brush.

6) Add a darker silver/grey shade to the outside contour of the eye.

7) Next line your eyes with the water proof Tarte Emphaseyes clay liner from your inner eye and extending it a bit past your natural lash line. I then put on some Ardell falsies, mascara, and finally lined the outside corner of my lower lash line.

And Just For Good Measure….

City sidewalk, busy sidewalks
Dressed in holiday style.
In the air there’s
A feeling of Christmas.

Children laughing, people passing,
Meeting smile after smile,
And on every street corner you’ll hear:

Silver bells, silver bells,
It’s Christmas time in the city.
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring,
Soon it will be Christmas day.

City street lights,
Even stop lights,
Blink a bright red and green,
As the shoppers rush home
With their treasures.

Hear the snow crunch,
See the kids bunch,
This is Santa’s big scene,
And above all this bustle you’ll hear:

Silver bells, silver bells,
It’s Christmas time in the city.
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring,
Soon it will be Christmas day.
