For an easy Spring 2015 makeup look, try going nude with some must-have products from glo minerals. Well maybe not completely nude, but just enough that this no makeup-makeup look will make people questions if you are that annoying person who naturally came out of the womb a total babe. Which, of course, you totally did.
For an everyday spring makeup look, going nude is the easiest way to look polished without having to spend much time getting there. This look is all about accentuating the natural beauty and adding a touch of a glow and color. To create this look today, I am going to be using some cosmetics by glo minerals.
If you aren’t familiar with the glo minerals brand, it’s time to pay attention; especially those of you who are looking for healthy cosmetic options. Glo minerals use’s a unique mineral makeup system that is designed for skincare professionals to have a healthy makeup option to offer to their clients. This makeup is Talc free, non-comedogenic and gives amazing coverage all while having UV and environmental protection. I will dive into the benefits of each of the cosmetics I am using as we go along because they are that good. So, stay tuned.
Getting Nude Eyes
For the first part of this no-makeup, makeup look, we are starting with the eyes. I usually start with eye makeup first because then I can sweep away any unwanted eye shadow residue and not have to worry about jacking up my concealer or foundation. With that said, here are the nude eye shadow colors I am going to be using from glo minerals below.
- Twig
- Orchid
- Sand Pebble
- Haze
Glo minerals eye shadow information: This is a mineral rich eye shadow is talc-free with an antioxidant blend that helps to save your eyelids from free-radical damage. It’s also crease-resistant with buildable pigment coverage that allows you to increase the color intensity based on your comfort. Found Here
Step 1: Apply twig to the crease of the eyelid using a blender brush.
Step 2: Press the color orchid onto the outer half of the eyelid using a flat eye shadow brush.
Step 3: Using sand pebble, and flat eye shadow brush, press it onto the middle and inner eyelid next to the tear duct.
Step 4: Apply haze under the brow bone for highlighting and to blend out any harsh lines.
Getting the glo
When you are going nude with makeup, having skin that glows is an essential in my opinion. For this next step, I am going to be using the glo minerals Shimmer Duo in candle and high-pigment blush in papaya.
Shimmer Duo Info: This gorgeous skin highlighter is formulated with the same goodness that all glo minerals products have, including that it’s Talc-free. Plus, with every purchase of the Shimmer Duo, a portion of the proceeds is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Found Here
High Pigment Blush Info: This high-pigmented blush is formulated with an “exclusive antioxidant blend of vitamins A, C, E and green tea extract”. All of these combined help to keep the skin protected against free-radical damage. Found Here
Step 1: Apply the left side of the shimmer duo in candle above the brow bone and to the tops of the cheeks.
Step 2: Use the right side of the shimmer duo in candle to your cheeks. Adding a little goes a very long way. So, in order to not look like a light-bulb, just dab a tiny bit onto your brush and apply. If you feel like you have more than you want, just use a clean makeup sponge and press over it.
Step 3: Sweep the glo minerals blush in papaya just to the apples of the cheeks. This blush is very pigmented, so a little goes a very long way.
Nude Lips
When you are going for a nude makeup look, your lips should play the part as well. So for our last step, we will be using the glo minerals Suede Matt Stick in bliss.
Suede Matte Stick info: This is a matte-cream lipstick that literally lasts for hours. It’s formulated with a blend of hydrating and protecting ingredients like Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Mango Seed Oil and Shea Butter. Found Here
