In a few weeks I am traveling to Honolulu, and I am on the hunt for a black crochet one-piece swimsuit. Knit swimwear has a sort of boho vibe that’s perfect for the beach and since I’m headed that way, I’ll be packing one with me. I want to swim in a suit that covers well and will stay in all the right places while exploring the ocean, the pool, or while sunbathing. Check out what I’ve found ladies!
I went to Nordstrom and did a little dressing room try on session and found the black crochet one piece swimsuit that all of my dreams are made of. Seriously. It covers in all the right places, and it has a high neck, so my boobs don’t fly out when I’m playing with my kids in the pool, and the pattern is gorgeous. The price tag is expensive at $119.00, but it’s possibly worth every cent. Good one piece swimsuits like this rarely go on sale, so, waiting for a good deal to come about might be a waste of life hours and patience. If you are looking for a suit like this, read on.
When I spotted this crochet suit online, I had to try it on. One piece swimsuits are usually a no-go for me because I’m short and petite and they always just looks weird. Maybe everybody feels this way.
Usually, when I try on a one piece, I do the standard butt check, and it looks flat, and my stomach appears to be in a cage that emphasizes the post-mom-bod stomach pooch. Not this time my friends. This black crochet one-piece swimsuit makes everything look good, and the bottom covers my booty well. The fabric is a little stretchy, and so it doesn’t cling to my midsection like an annoying friend that is continuously entering your personal space. There is room to breathe, eat chips and salsa, and feel like a sexy pool-side beast all in one breath.
Another thing I like is the back. There are two ties, one that ties around the neck and one in the center of the back. I love that it shows almost all of my back but that it doesn’t feel like it’s going to fly off while perusing the sea with a snorkel mask.
I like to wear swimwear that I feel confident in and this black crochet one-piece swimsuit makes me feel that in every sense of the word. I feel like I look good in it and I love that it covers and accentuates in all the right areas. Also, it’s super comfortable, and comfort for me is critical.
I haven’t bought a one-piece suit in years. Probably since high school actually, but this black crochet version is sort of a hybrid in my opinion. Now I’m even more excited for Hawaii! Bring on the water-works, the beach, everything!
