How To: Getting Glamorous

Lets pretend for a moment that the reason why I am getting all glammed up is because I am about to go do this….

The Lifestyle

My private luxury limo (with scissors doors of-course) that drove me to my private jet, which flew me to…mmmm…L.A (where the cool people are).  Then I was picked up by some…”important people” and we hung out with the Hollywood Elite at the best Ultra Lounge and we of course toasted to “living the good life.” After that I spared no expenses and crashed out on the rediculously amazing bed above and slept in until 10am without ever waking up once.

If I am going to be doing that, then I should be wearing this….

And if I am going to be wearing that, then my makeup should look like this….

Here is how to get it.

Step 1

Base eyes with eyeshadow primer. I used the Face Stockholm Eye Fix, but you can use whatever you have…I also like Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Urban Decay Primer Potion

Step 2

Take M.A.C  Vanilla Loose Pigment and place under brow bone and into tear duct. Next use the M.A.C Dark Soul Loose Pigment and sweep into contour with a blender brush. Be careful with the dark loose pigments, they really can get everywhere.

Step 3

With a flat shadow brush that does a good job picking up pigment, pat the M.A.C  Copper Sparkle pigment  (it has large bronze specks) onto the lower eyelid.  *Note- when I use pigments, I do my foundation and concealer last so I don’t have to wipe off the mess and re-do makeup.

Here is a picture of both eyes, make sure to blend the copper and dark soul together well to get that perfect look.

Step 4

With the  134 Black lash from Ardell, take the lash glue and trace lightly along the base of lash strip. Wait 20 second, then place as close as you can get to the lash line starting from the inside to the outside of the eye. Next take the 112  lower  black eyelash strip (you could use individuals but this is less stress) and use the glue like before, now just place under your lashes and as close to the lash line as possible.

Now take a black eyeliner like the Emphaseyes Tart Waterproof clay liner and trace along the upper lash strip. Then take the same liner and place on the lower water rim to create a bit of smoke and glam.

Final Product

To finish this look off, add in your foundation (Makeup Forever #120), concealer (Dermablend Quick Fix Concealer in beige), bronzer (Too Faced Aqua Bunny), blush (Stila) , and lipstick (Jane Iredale Nude Lipliner with clear gloss).

Okay- here is what really happened. After doing my makeup (and taking a million pics), I put on my p.j’s, then made dinner, then put my daughter down to bed, then cleaned, then snuggled next to my rather good looking husband and watched Abduction with Taylor Lautner. It was a simple night that was not “glam eyes worthy,” but still fun. With that said, I hope when you do this look yourself, you will do me a favor and do something a little more glam than I did!! Maybe send me a picture too.
