You know how much I love a good Boho dress, they are my obsession for Spring. So, with that said, I’m so excited to show you guys how to wear a floral boho maxi skirt two ways because I’m here for you. Even if you don’t get this exact maxi skirt, you can still learn how to style a similar one two different ways. I’m going to show you how to style this long-flowy skirt for a casual day time look and for a night out on the town.
When I shop for clothes, I need to be able to wear what I’m purchasing multiple times and multiple ways. In fact, I refuse to purchase anything unless I know it will be worn on repeat. When I found this floral maxi skirt at Target of all places, I knew I could pull it off with different shoes and different tops to make the look have a completely different vibe. I actually tried this skirt on (linking same style, different print) for my February Target Try on Haul, did you see it? I loved it so much that I purchased it along with the Rolling Stones t-shirt. Sadly, I left both at checkout after paying for them like a real winner. It took me two entire weeks to make it back to Target and retrieve what I left.
That story was a side note. Sometimes I get distracted. It’s a thing.
How to Wear a Floral Boho Maxi Skirt: Casually
To be honest, I thrive on casual wear attire; I’m a mom of three after all. But casual doesn’t need to be frumpy which is why I’m showing you how to wear this floral boho maxi skirt in a casual but definitely not frumpy way. I think the best way to make a long flowy boho skirt have an edgier vibe is to mix styles that you wouldn’t normally think to wear together. Like, I decided to wear this bohemian skirt with a graphic t-shirt (this is an old “t” from Sincerely Jules) and some grey Sapergra high-tops. I accessorized with a random grey beanie and layers of chain necklace by Liza Beth Jewelry.
I would wear this casual boho meets rocker chic look to a playdate, coffee shop, hang sesh with the girlfriends, event, grocery shopping and a plethora of other places. The kicks and the t-shirt definitely play a huge role in being comfy even though I feel pretty savage..in a good way.
How to Wear a Floral Boho Maxi Skirt: Dressed Up
As I said, I like to be able to have multiple ways to wear anything in my closet and this floral boho maxi skirt is no exception. I kept the same chain necklaces on and swapped out the graphic-t with a more delicate looking blouse. I found this black long sleeve silky crop top at Target as well and wore it for a recent tv segment I was on. I love the feminine neckline and puffy sleeves; it certainly adds to the bohemian vibe I have going on. Normally I wouldn’t wear a crop top because it’s just not my thing, but since my boho skirt is high-waisted, it worked rather well together.
Alright, let’s talk about shoes. Clearly in order to make this outfit dressed up, swapping out the high-tops for something more dressy was essential. Here’s the thing, I don’t really like wearing heels all that much because, well, they aren’t comfy. If you want to wear a pair of high-heels with this boho maxi skirt, you absolutely can and I guarantee the combination will look amazing (try these open toe options). Or, you could do what I did and rock a pair of killer boots, maybe even white. I purchased these white booties from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year and I’ve worn them on major repeat since. I have zero shame.
In the end, there are definitely more than just two ways to wear this boho maxi skirt style. This is such a good staple skirt style for dressing up or dressing down and if you’re into the bohemian style like I am, this will be a major win.

Kendra
