For a cosmetics company that can be found at a drugstore, jane cosmetics is pretty amazing. On my YouTube channel, I did a Makeup Show beauty haul and showed you a few thing’s that were given to me to try out from jane cosmetics; today I am going to review them for you. I have some eyeshadows, blush and bronzer duo’s, highlighters, more blushes… and they are all gorgeous and not a bad price at all.
While at the jane cosmetics booth, I got to meet Charlie Riddle, the Director of Creative Artistry and Education for jane cosmetics, and he was amazing. Funny thing is, he lived in my home town and knows one of my good friends; small world.
Alright, back to this review of jane cosmetics!
First impressions: Can we talk about how beautiful these are? They do not look drugstore in the least. I love the flower impression on some of them, and the packaging is very eye catching.
jane cosmetics eyeshadow in Pansy and Passionflower: Just by the looks of these, I felt pretty confident in being able to use these jane cosmetics eyeshadows without any complications. Again, I love the flower imprint and I thought that these two eyeshadow colors were a perfect pick for an everyday, eye-makeup look. Pansy (on the left) is a gorgeous shimmery pale pink, and Passionflower (on the right) is a shimmery pale purple.
Pro Tip: I actually didn’t have to use this with a primer at all for it to stay well on my eyelids. But, for a more intense color, using an eyeshadow primer will help.

jane cosmetics Shimmering Suede Shadow: For a casual eye-makeup look, this is what you need. This jane cosmetics eye-shadow trio has three very pigmented, shimmery-neutral-shades that go on evenly and feel like velvet. These colors can also be used wet for a more dramatic look that takes your makeup from day to night.
Pro Tip: If you are going to dampen your makeup brush in order for an intense eyeshadow design, I would recommend getting vichy water to spritz on the brush. It’s easy, clean, and causes zero mess.

Eye Design using jane cosmetics
This eyeshadow design was created without any primer! I used the pale peach from the Shimmering Suede trio on the lower eyelid, then applied the chocolate brown (same palette) to the inner and outer areas of the eyelid for dimension. Then I used Pansy and Passionflower in the crease of the eye and under the lower lash-line.
jane cosmetics multi-colored Cheek Powder and Illuminating Powder: These multi-colored Cheek Powders and Illuminating Powder are not only pretty to look at, but they do an incredible job of bringing life and color back to the skin. With vitamin E for nourishment, you are not only getting beautifully flushed and glowing skin, but added moisture as well.
Pro Tip: I added the illuminator first to the upper part of my cheeks (which was gorgeous on it’s own), and then applied the blush to the apples of my cheeks using a duo fiber brush. You also need to be careful of how much blush you use, these are very pigmented blushes!

This is what my skin looks like with using just the jane cosmetics illuminator on my upper cheeks. It gives such a gorgeous glow!
This is where I am applying the Berry Blush Multi-Colored Cheek Powder to with my duo-fiber brush.
Bronzing Powder in Inspire: This bronzer is the perfect balance between shimmer and matte; it’s not overwhelming in the least. It gives great color payoff, and did a great job of lasting throughout the day.
Pro Tip: Because this is not everwhelming with shimmer, you can use this to contour your face using my contouring guide, or to just use for that sun-kissed glow we all all.

jane cosmetics Blushing Bronze Duo in Peony Pink Glow: Again, this bronze duo is really great. It has this beautiful peony pink that goes perfectly with the bronzer it is paired with. With that said, if you like blush that has a bit of sheen to it, this blush is a bit more matte. So, I think it would be perfect for someone who has more oily skin. Just a thought.
Pro Tip: If you do want that shimmer, blend the bronzer and the blush for a bright and stunning glow. The combo ends up being a glowing pink-peach shade.

Here is my final look using jane cosmetics! I think it turned out really well…what do you think?
Overall Thoughts and Opinions: I think that jane cosmetics is a great cosmetic line at an affordable price. I am totally into the flower designs on the product, I think the color payoff is fabulous, and I really like that everything isa rich and creamy texture.
If you are looking for a relatively in-expensive cosmetic line that works well, you should check out jane cosmetics. Personally, I am excited to see what else they come up with in the future!
