Japonesque Eyelash Curler Review and Tutorial!

It was 11 years ago that I was introduced to the Japonesque, Go Curl Eyelash Curler while attending a makeup school in LA. As born makeup and beauty product hoarder, I had my fair share of lash curlers that had come and gone…but when I found this bad boy, it was a game changer. It never pinched me, was compact and completely not awkward to use, plus gave my lashes a killer curl. So I wanted to introduce you guys to my personal go-to eyelash curler(s) and show you how to get the perfect curl. I always have a Japonesque eyelash curler in my makeup kit, and I have literally never pinched any client or talent when I am using it.

So my fave. is below…and then I was introduced to the second which I will tell you about.
Japonesque Eyelash Curler review

From the Company: The Japonesque Go Curl Eyelash Curler immediately creates dramatic, deep sweeping lashes with ease. The back flips down, giving you the gentle force needed to produce a long-lasting curl. The open cage design protects outer lashes from pinch. And conveniently tucked inside is an extra pad. Keep the Japonesque Go Curl Eyelash Curler in your pocket, purse or desk for that surprise beauty emergency or when you need to go straight from day to dinner-and-drinks.

My Thoughts: Like I said above, this is my all time fave. lash curler. My first one was exactly like this, but in black, and lasted me 5 years; I used it an obnoxious amount. I would/have recommend this to anyone and everyone…it just works. Oh…and cheaper versions of this in my experience don’t work as well…just sayin.

Price: $14.00 (killer price)

Japonesque Double Pad Eyelash Curler Review

From the Company: Japonesque Double Pad Eyelash Curler is designed to give your lashes a deep curl in a single squeeze. Featuring a set of pads that curl your lashes in 2 places at once, the soft pads prevent pinches and broken lashes. Compact design and easily portable.

My Thoughts: I think that this eyelash curler is the absolute least likely of all lash curlers to pinch you. If you are afraid of getting pinched by your eyelash curler, save yourself the drama and get this one! With that said, because it spreads your lashes out more, for me, it didn’t give me as an intense curl as I like. My lashes are short, not thick at all (as you can see in pics below), and basically just suck…so if anything spreads them out, they just look less full. But, if you have lots of lashes….the kind that would make me hate you, I think you would really like this.

Price: $17.00

Okay…well, oh.my.gosh, my lashes (even curled) are really terrible. But I think you can see the difference between curled and non-curled. I look like I don’t have any lashes what so ever when they are not curled. There is a gigantic difference in my opinion, and that’s without mascara on!!

XOXO!
