Lancome 2011 Summer Collection

Is is just me, or does it seem like every major cosmetic company is incorporating some form of the trendy aqua blue/green shade for this summer season? I love it because Lancome’s new Bronze Azure collection has me even more excited for summer time, and trust me, it can’t come soon enough. Do you see yourself in any of these colors?

Limited Edition Sensational Effects Eye Shadow Quad Smooth Hold

Play up your eyes with aqua blue on the lower lid, brown to contour, pink to brighten, and white to highlight. With the new Molton Shore quad, you are set to be a makeup “trendster.” I find this quad refreshing and playful! I am loving the splash of color that will take you from drab to fab!  $42.00

The Heat Wave Quad reminds me of a scene on the movie Sex and the City 2 where the girls are walking in the middle of a hot and sandy desert.  Although these shades are more neutral, they are still so hot! Between the two quads, this one is far more practical for the girl who doesn’t want to fuss with brighter colors and likes a more natural look. $42.00

Precision Point Eyeliner

Beach Gem Art Liner is a long-wear waterproof eyeliner that is extremely easy to apply. It comes in two summer shades: brown and aqua green (shocking, I know). If you want a super nude look with a pop of color, try lining your top lid with the aqua green color, you will look smokin’ hot and super trendy! $29.00

Limited Edition Sensual Vibrant Lipshine

Heatstroke, Hibis-Kiss, and Paradise Beach are the hot names for Lancome’s new limited edition Sensual Lipshine Gloss and they have me drooling! This gloss collection is non sticky, moisture boosting, and has some serious high intensity shine with the “vinyl shine system” formulated for this product. Additionally, it has a very cool Lip-Sculpt™ Applicator to fit your lip shape. $26.00

Limited Edition Sensational Effects Lip color

I am happy to see the coral lip trend carrying over into the summer months! But for those of you who shy away from coral, or just know it looks terrible on you, there are two other beautiful options. Check out the full coverage and moisturizing lipstick colors in Coral Goddess (my favorite), Femme Fire, and Hot Nights. The Hot Nights color has me a bit curious, but maybe it’s just because of the name! $22.00

Subtle Shimmering Blush

I am refreshed to see this new summer collection blush since the spring option, in my opinion, was a “not so hot,” for me. With that said, the bronze and subtle hints of pink shimmer in the Island Horizon blush is beyond beautiful and will give your skin a gorgeous glow. Who wouldn’t want that? $40.00

*** I am actually very pleased with this overall collection, but would I purchase it? Not the entire collection, but the Heat Wave Quad is tempting me. What’s tempting you?
