Makeover Monday: Bride Edition

Bridal season is pretty much over for me and it was definitely a rush! I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of each brides day, it was an honor that they chose me as their makeup artist. Today’s “before and after” is of my lovely and so sweet bride Catherine. This girls smile literally would light up a room. No seriously…look at how dang white her teeth are? I want what she has and I think it might just be Crest White Strips.

So here is my before an after of Catherine, I will start with her trial run look and then her day of look. Enjoy!

Trial Run Before and After

Day Of Wedding Before and After

Get The Look

Catherine’s entire look was very vintage inspired. Her dress (which I don’t have a picture of) was very Grace Kelly-esc so we wanted her makeup to be inspired by this Old Hollywood Glam look.

Eyes: After using the Temptu Airbrush System on her skin to get that flawless look, we focused on her eyes! Catherine has pretty small eyes that needed to be enhanced and not shut down. Dong something too heavy on her would make her eyes disappear. So I used a soft golden shadow to her lower eyelid, highlighted under her brow bone with a pearl shimmery shadow then contoured primarily the outside corners with a charcoal shimmery shadow. (All shadows were from the Urban Decay Naked favorite.)

Next I applied some la-la lashes from Ardell (sexies) for the trial run because I felt like they were soft enough that they wouldn’t over-power her eyes. With that said, on the day of, we switched them to the Ardell Whispy lashes because we both felt like…why not? They also didn’t shut down her eyes and I extended them a bit past her natural eye shape. Then I finished by applying a generous lash line using the Tarte EmphesEyes Clay liner. (It is my favorite for weddings because it is waterproof and stays well.) Oh- and of course I can’t forget the Urban Decay Cannonball Mascara that was used OVER the false lashes.

Unfortunately I do not have color for this because I just mixed two shades to get this. She wanted something that was orange-red. So I mixed together a tangerine shade from M.A.C and a red shade from Estee Lauder…both of which are no longer available.

Happy Monday to you all! Don’t forget to sign up for my current giveaway going on with Neutrogena!
