My friend Becca is an incredibly talented person, she sings, she crafts, she blogs (for me and her blog), she does fashion segments for AMNW and she even knits! ( I wish I could knit, but I am not that patient or that cool.) Her home decor sense looks like something you would see flipping through the pages of an anthropology catalog, and her style reflects that same trend. She is an all around rather cool person to hang with, thus the reason she is this weeks “Makeover Monday.”
Before
Becca isn’t really much of a makeup wearer, although since meeting me she has tampered with it a bit more. Her skin is near perfect, so I won’t have to do much concealing but I do want to do something a different than her usual look. I did forewarn her that this would most likely be the most makeup she would ever wear but that she will still love it. Luckily for me, she did like it
After
Since she is “rockstar” status in my book, I went with a rockstar look that went with the splash of purple she has in her hair. I gave her a thick winged liner that was accented by her incredibly long lashes and kept her lips simple using a pale, pretty pink.
Get The Look
Skin: I used the Temptu Personal Airbrush System in the shade Sand. Then I brightened up her skin with a bronzer and a pale pink blush.
Eyes: First I based her eyelids with a primer, then used an eggshell shade matte shadow on her full lower lids. Next, I blended a taupe matte shadow into the contour of eyes and highlighted under her brow bone and tear duct with a pale-shimmery-shadow. For her liner I used the Tarte EmphasEYES Waterproof clay liner (with the brush is comes with) and traced along her upper lash line starting at the inside corner of her and extending it a quarter inch up and out past her eye. This gives her that winged liner look, and if you want it thicker, just trace above that same line.
Lips: Like I said, I wanted to keep them simple but still have a pop of color, so I used the Estee Lauder Pure Color Lip Shine in Power Pink (limited edition).
