Men having treatments like Botox, Juvederm, and different forms of plastic surgery is a definite taboo subject for a guy to talk about. But this morning, the Today Show did a clip about this and I found it very interesting! I think it’s funny that it’s more acceptable for women to do anti aging treatments and take care of their skin. However, for men to even talk about it is grounds for complete and total male bashing.
I get it, don’t get me wrong, I do have a husband who (although does ask for eye cream) would never sit around with his guy friends and talk about the latest in skincare and beauty treatments. With that said, I know many men who have had plastic surgery (face lifts, eyelifts, lipo-suction, Botox etc.) and have taken a vow of silence for fear of getting made fun of. Clearly I don’t think this is that big of a deal and I really enjoyed the video. I think it’s great and perfectly fine when a dude wants to invest in looking good by means of skincare and treatments. If it’s okay that females can, why should men not be able to as well? Have any thoughts? Please share
