I dream of the glamorous effects that attending NYC fashion week would take on my wardrobe. Having to plan a different outfit for each event you attended, wearing some awesome heels and rocking a bold lip. You would need to develop looks that can transfer from day to night but that keep you comfy for the whole time. I would love it. Today I chose to feature a designer that has clothes I feel are perfect to wear for the long haul of fashion week.
The Emerson Collection is designed and owned by Jackie Fraser-Swan, and is named for Fraser-Swans relative Ralph Waldo Emerson. Fraser-Swan designs pieces that mix today’s latest trends: couture with contemporary, rock with romance, elegance with comfort. Fraser-Swan’s Spring 2012 line expresses the luxury and sophistication of a free-spirited modern woman. The pieces in the Emerson Collection can be mixed and matched with one another to combine genres and looks.
Pieces I loved so much:
A charcoal off the shoulder romper: Pair it with an awesome pair of wedges and some chunky accessories.
Cropped Leather Jackets: One of the most favorite things I have in my wardrobe is my leather jacket. The Emerson collection has jackets in lighter colors which are more flexible in when and where use than a dark piece.
Spring Dresses: Fraser-Swan took the tradition spring dress tossed in some fresh printed fabrics, criss-crossed hemlines and exposed zippers to update the look. The dresses in this collection could be easily paired with flats while at work and then toss a pair of heels on for a night out.
Overall I was very impressed with The Emerson Collection and can’t imagine what it would be like to pair together the pieces in Fraser-Swans collection during Fashion Week. The Emmerson Collection Video Feed
