Mid-Century Modern Christmas Dining Room Decor

I am so excited to show you guys my mid-century modern Christmas Dining Room Decor! I have created a gorgeous holiday tablescape with a winter-green theme that you can easily DIY and re-create on a budget. When I think of my home decor style, I instantly think of West Elm, Article, CB2 and a splash of that Anthropology whimsical  feel. Check out home I styled my table and dining room wall for the holidays. And, even if you aren’t a mid-century modern lover like I am, you can still incorporate some of these Christmas decorations into your home.

When I created this tablescape for my home, I first went through everything I had already for Christmas decor and pulled it all out. Part of my artistic nature is to pull a look together without knowing what the end result will be. In the case for my mid-century modern Christmas dining room decor, I already had many items that you see on display and I’m sure that you do too. What this means is that I didn’t go out a blow a ton of money on holiday decor. I repurposed a ton of things that I will talk about as you check out my pictures!

My table is from West Elm and my chairs are from Amazon! I have had this table and these chairs for four years now and they have all held up incredibly well. My table no longer exists which is sad, but I’ve linked similar ones below and you can purchase a set of 6 of these mid-century chairs for only $153.99 on Amazon! That is a crazy good deal.

Decorations for the center of your mid-century modern Christmas tablescape is so important. I didn’t go minimalist, but I did keep the entire look rather monochromatic and modern looking. My colors were black, white, green, and silver and I wanted there to be a whimsical -nature vibe to it.

So, I laid down a black and white scarf I already had and layered a leafy-Christmas garland over that. I tucked in some white and brown pinecones for texture and dimension. Then, I got some tall, clear vases from the Dollar Store and place some sparkly snow at the bottom and added a small bottle brushed Christmas tree. I staggered the glass vases so there were three on each side and added a faux candle in between.

For the place setting for my mid-century modern holiday dining room decor, I kept it simple. I used grey felt paper as the place mat and used the white plates and saucers that I already have and decorated around it. Then I placed a black paper napkin in the center and topped it with a Faux Cedar Tree Leaf. I did paint the tips of the Cedar leaf white for added dimension and contrast. Last, I used plastic silverware because I don’t want to wash anyone’s utensils and the goblets we got as a wedding gift 11 years ago. I linked similars of everything below.

For the credenza behind my mid-century modern Christmas tablescape, I added this pine tree I found from Hobby Lobby and added my feather lightbulb ornaments you can make here and small black Christmas bulbs to the tree. The tree in the picture is sold out, but I found a similar one on Amazon  that you don’t have to flock (like I did) or add lights too as I did! On the other side of the credenza, I placed silver nutcracker on top of a few pieces of greenery and a candle.  For my wall, I added my DIY Wire Wreaths to it that you can make with these instructions HERE (or buy on Etsy)and eucalyptus wreath with white berries.
