I am so excited to show you guys my mid-century modern Christmas Dining Room Decor! I have created a gorgeous holiday tablescape with a winter-green theme that you can easily DIY and re-create on a budget. When I think of my home decor style, I instantly think of West Elm, Article, CB2 and a splash of that Anthropology whimsical feel. Check out home I styled my table and dining room wall for the holidays. And, even if you aren’t a mid-century modern lover like I am, you can still incorporate some of these Christmas decorations into your home.
When I created this tablescape for my home, I first went through everything I had already for Christmas decor and pulled it all out. Part of my artistic nature is to pull a look together without knowing what the end result will be. In the case for my mid-century modern Christmas dining room decor, I already had many items that you see on display and I’m sure that you do too. What this means is that I didn’t go out a blow a ton of money on holiday decor. I repurposed a ton of things that I will talk about as you check out my pictures!
My table is from West Elm and my chairs are from Amazon! I have had this table and these chairs for four years now and they have all held up incredibly well. My table no longer exists which is sad, but I’ve linked similar ones below and you can purchase a set of 6 of these mid-century chairs for only $153.99 on Amazon! That is a crazy good deal.
Mid-Century Modern Christmas Tablescape Decor
- Plaid Scarf as table runner
- Long Garland with small pinecones attached (can be green or white)
- White Pinecones and Brown Pinecones
- Clear tall vases (ahem- I linked to Amazon here for these, but I found mine at the dollar store!)
- Glittery Fake Snow
- Small Bottle Brush Mini Trees (I found mine at Target in the Christmas section- they are heather grey and not on-line.)
- Small faux-lit candles
For the place setting for my mid-century modern holiday dining room decor, I kept it simple. I used grey felt paper as the place mat and used the white plates and saucers that I already have and decorated around it. Then I placed a black paper napkin in the center and topped it with a Faux Cedar Tree Leaf. I did paint the tips of the Cedar leaf white for added dimension and contrast. Last, I used plastic silverware because I don’t want to wash anyone’s utensils and the goblets we got as a wedding gift 11 years ago. I linked similars of everything below.
Mid-Century Modern Holiday Plate Setting:
- Grey Felt Sheet as Place Mat (around $1.00 each)
- Plastic Silver Silverware Set Knife, Fork, Spoon Set
- White Glass Plates and White Saucers
- Black Paper Napkins
- Mid-Century inspired Goblet
- Faux Cedar Tree Leafs
