Beautycounter has taken over my makeup and skincare collection by a landslide, and so I wanted to share with you my holy grail Beautycounter products that I can’t live without. I have been using these beauty products for a while now, and I can tell you that as a makeup artist, licensed esthetician and beauty/lifestyle blogger, they have gained their reputation for a reason. It’s still amazing to me that I can use safe makeup and skincare that aren’t bad for my body and they actually perform well too.
With that said, since Beautycounter has to be religious and incredibly thoughtful about how they do their formulations for makeup and skincare, there have been some “misses” like their mascara. I’m still not the biggest fan of the mascara, and I’m crossing my fingers for a better formula at some point, sending up a prayer right now.
Moving on, there are so many safe beauty products that I love from Beautycounter, but I’m going to share with you just my top five Holy Grail products that I have re-purchased and will re-purchase if they run out. Hopefully, these five will get you started on your journey to using safer cosmetics and skincare that won’t harm your body and that perform just as well as anything else out there. Alright, here we go.
Beautycounter Overnight Resurfacing Peel
You can check out my full review of the Beautycounter Overnight Resurfacing Peel if you want, but I’m telling you, it’s the best and my number one Holy Grail product from this company. I love how glowy it makes your skin after just one day of gently exfoliating your top layer of skin as well as inside your follicles where black-heads and congestion happen. This resurfacing peel acts as a serum but helps with brown pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, blemishes and more. Ya need to check it out my friend; it’s my favorite product, and I can’t live without it.
Beautycounter Velvet Classic Eyeshadow Palette
Anybody can use the Beautycounter Velvet Classic Eyeshadow Palette which is why I use it so much when I am doing live tutorials. The colors are a range of matte and shimmery bronze, gold, copper and pale creamy shades. I have used this palette on the darkest skin-tones to the palest and on every eye color out there. I love how rich and pigmented the color is in this palette. It’s buttery, soft, and applies beautifully. You can check out my classic velvet eyeshadow makeup tutorial to find an easy way to use these colors with a step-by-step guide.
Beautycounter Cleansing Balm
I bought the Beautycounter Cleansing Balm for my husband at first because he has dry skin and needs the extra moisture and anti-aging benefits. But friends, I quickly discovered that I needed it in my life too once I rubbed the luxurious formula on my face for the first time also. I have combination skin, but I tend to get pretty dry in the winter which is where the Cleansing Balm has become a Holy Grail safe beauty product for both my husband and I. We re-order it before it’s empty and my husband reminds me because he can’t live without it either.
Alright, alright- but why is the cleansing balm a holy grail product for us and why does it deserve two paragraphs? Yes, it is made to cleanse your skin and give you the anti-aging benefits of less brown pigmentation, fine- lines, wrinkles, etc. But, we also like to use it as our moisturizer at night because our skin looked refreshed and hydrated to another level in the morning. I use a dime size amount and moisturize my face, neck, and chest with it. It’s been a game changer for both of our 30-something skin.
Beautycounter Liquid Eyeliner
The Beautycounter Liquid Eyeliner is a surprising holy grail must-have for me. It’s a rich black color with a fine tip that allows precise application. Also, it has lasted me four entire months with daily use, and it doesn’t come off when I’m melting in the heat. I’ve used many liquid liners, all of which weren’t “safe” formulations, and this rivals them all. Even my mom loves this liquid liner. Yes, I’m throwing that one in there just because.
Beautycounter Luminous Powder Halo Highlighter
I was debating between the Luminous Powder Halo Highlighter and the Guava blush. Both are amazing. But, I have to say, the Halo Highlighter works so well for everyday use, it doesn’t have chunks of sparkle, it’s finely milled and gives the skin this gorgeous glow. I typically don’t like powder highlighters at all. In-fact, Beautycounter does have a cream highlighter that is great too. I happen to be obsessed with this powder formula and think it’s especially great because it works on all skin tones. It doesn’t make dark skin-tones look ashy, and it’s not yellow on pale skin tones. If you are need of a highlighter, get the Beautycounter Halo Highlighter that has everything you want in a highlighter except the toxic-junk.
