When Urban Decay had a funeral for their OG Naked Palette, I knew it wasn’t a done deal. Back from the dead and completely re-incarnated, we have the Urban Decay Naked Reloaded which is significantly different than the Original fan favorite. But different isn’t bad, it’s just, different. So, let’s look at the new UD palette with a review, swatches, and a makeup tutorial because you need atleast one makeup look to re-create. Plus, this new eyeshadow palette has 12 new shades to fall in love with!
Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Review
Want to see what I think about this new palette? Well, here we go. Frist, you need to know that I was super pumped up when it landed at my front day. Anything PR from UD is a major win. I’ve been a brand fan since my early years as a makeup artist. In-fact, my first Urband Decay palette ever was the origional Naked. The biggest thing I noticed about this new palette is the packaging. It has a pillow top instead of the velvet or hard case that is classic to the brand.
What are the names of the Urban Decay Reloaded Eyeshadows?

- Retro – bright peach matte
- Reputation – deep rose-gold with iridescent micro-shimmer
- Burn – copper-burgundy metallic

- Boundaries – warm terracotta matte
- Blur – light tan matte
Do I like the new Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Packaging?
Let me be frank about the packaging. I like the concept and it is really pretty, but I feel like the cushion situation could get gross fast. Maybe that’s the mom in me with a toddler age son who regularly get’s into my makeup room. I like hard cases for eyeshadows because they are easy to clean up. Nuf said.
What do the Naked Urban Decay Swatches Look Like?
From the bottom of my arm to the bottom we have Bribe, Barely Baked, Angel Fire, Retro, Reputation, Burn, End Game, Dreamwaver, Distilled, Buck, Boundaries, Blurred.
I used my eyeshadow brush to swatch thes pigments and I didn’t use any lotion or eyeshadow primer so that you could get a good idea of what these look like.
Do I like the new Urban Decay Pigments?
Wow, they are gorgeous. But, you do need to use a eyeshadow primer before applying your shadows. Also, it seems like the matte shades are pretty powdery which I don’t really like. My favorite shades from this palette are the Retro, Boundaries, and Distilled. I could wear those shades in a million different combinations every single. day.
How does this palette rate on the EWG and Think Dirty? Is it non-toxic?
Non-toxic means a lof of different thing’s for a lot of different people. Looking over the ingredients, there isn’t anything alarming. The EWG actually doesn’t have a rating yet for this product. BUT- if it makes you feel better, most of their eyeshadow rate a 2 for safety, which isn’t bad.
With that said. Think Dirty has a much more strict code for their ratings. So, on Think Dirty the Naked Palettes…and the eyeshadows in general rate at about an 8 due to Talc and PTFE which is a possible carcinogen.
How Much is the Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Palette?
You can get the Urban Decay Naked Palette for $44.oo which makes each shade $3.66! That is WAY cheaper than a drugstore eyeshadow and far better quality. Plus, you can use this palette in every single season, so it’s a fantastic staple eyeshadow palette.
Where can I purchase the Palette?
This UD palette is sold at a ton of different places. One thing you will find is that they are going to be the same price everywhere you go. You might find that some places are offering a gift with purchase or the store is having some sort of beauty event.

Step 3: Place Burn on the inner half of your lower eyelid.
Step 4: Sweep End Game into the contour of your eyelid starting at the inner crease and blending out with a blender eyeshadow brush.

Step 6: With a small smudger brush or angled eyeliner brush, apply buck under your lower lashline.
Finish the eye makeup look:

My Final Thoughts and Opinions
Pro’s: I love the colors and how many you get for such a fantastic price. It really is a bargain eyeshadow palette with a quality product.
Con’s: I am not the biggest fan of the packaging and some of the shadows are pretty powdery when you try and grab the eyeshadows.
Should You Buy It?
