So, I did a little shopping and am putting together my non-toxic drugstore cosmetics makeup look that’s really natural and easy to do. Honestly you guys, it’s really difficult to find clean makeup that is considered safe for you that is also from places like Walgreens, Target, and Walmart. But, I did find a few thing’s that are rated really well with both the EWG and Think Dirty from brands like Revlon and e.l.f cosmetics. I will also tell you what I think about each product just in-case you want to get some for yourself.
What Non-Toxic Drugstore Cosmetics I Bought
Here is the list of products I purchased and their colors just so you know. You can buy this all online too which I recommend. It took me way too long to track all of these products down in the store. Plus, I had my three-year-old with me who just wasn’t having it.
- e.l.f full coverage concealer
- e.l.f HD Powder
- Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 205100
- Physician Formula Organic Wear Mascara in Black
- Revlon Lusterous Lipstick in 460
- Brow Pencil in Blonde
Don’t worry; I will absolutely do more of these non-toxic drugstore makeup looks because they are a total challenge. I spent a good chunk of time tracking these down so that you wouldn’t have to! You’re welcome…I do it because I love you! I mean it! I also firmly believe that you don’t have to use makeup with bad ingredients to get the look you want. You can absolutely wear beautiful makeup and not sacrifice your health.
While I am not a huge fan of drugstore makeup, check out my post on why I hate drugstore makeup, I have found that some products in some of the big drugstore brands are actually safe for you to use and even rate pretty well on Think Dirty and the EWG. Cool, right? I’m here for you. And with that said, here is a break down of everything I purchased with a few thoughts on each item, so you have a full understanding of what you are getting.
Non-Toxic Drugstore Foundation: Maybelline Fit Me Matte Foundation
This Maybelline Fit Me Matte Foundation rated a 2 on the EWG and can be considered a non-toxic foundation, which is fantastic! The cool news about this foundation formula is that it comes in a ton of different colors for all ethnicities. One thing to note about the Maybelline Fit Me drugstore matte foundation is that it is super matte. So, you won’t get any kind of dewy complexion with it at all. It is also pretty full coverage, so, if you are someone who likes a matte and full coverage look, this foundation might be a major hit for you. For me, however, I like a really natural look, so, I should have gotten the dewy formula of this exact drugstore foundation. Next time!
I purchased this drugstore foundation for around $5.99, which is a crazy-good deal as I am used to spending around $34-40 for my foundations.

Non-Toxic Drugstore Concealer: e.l.f 16 Hour Concealer
The e.l.f full coverage concealer ingredients rate a 2 and 3 on the EWG Skin Deep website which is fantastic! I have to say that I am really impressed with this concealer. I like that the application wand it really thick, which makes applying pretty easy. Also, because it is full coverage, you hardly have to use any of it to get coverage of zits, blemishes, and more!
Impressive as this $5.00 concealer is, it also wears for 16 hours!

Non-Toxic Drugstore Powder: e.l.f Powder
Fun news, the e.l.f powder rates a 1 on Think Dirty, and it’s dang inexpensive at only $8 and non-toxic! This powder gives a more matte look for oily skin, but you can also get the H.D powder as well, and it is also safe for you.

Non-Toxic Drugstore Mascara: Physicians Formula Organic Wear
I wasn’t the biggest fan of this mascara. In fact, it’s pretty difficult to find clean mascara that actually works well. This non-toxic drugstore mascara from Physicians Formula won’t give you much volume, but it will do the basic job of giving a bit of length. On the EWG, this mascara rates 1 one for safety. Not bad, right? Plus it’s only around $8!

Non-Toxic Drugstore Lipstick: Revlon Lusterous Lipstick
There are tons of colors in the Lusterous formula collection from Revlon. I chose to get the color 460 as it just seemed like a natural everyday lipstick I could wear. This lipstick rates a 2 on Think Dirty, which is pretty great if you are looking for a clean lipstick that won’t break the bank. As far as the formula goes, It’s creamy, pretty pigmented, and leaves your lips hydrated. It’s also only around $6!

Non-Toxic Drugstore Brow Pencil: Maybelline Brow Define & Fill
So, I’m pretty picky about my brow pencils regardless of if they are non-toxic or not. I like that this Maybelline Brow Define & Fill is retractable because that’s all I will use. However, there is no spooly on the other end of the pencil; it is a smudger? I’m seriously confused by this actually. You never want to smudge your brows into place ever! With that said, you could use this $6 dollar clean brow pencil to define your eyebrows and then just brush them into place with a clean mascara wand.

Non-Toxic Drugstore Makeup Look Breakdown
Alright, my look is pretty simple if I do say so myself. I really couldn’t find much from the drugstore that was a safe, clean beauty product; I did my best friends!
Here is what I used and wear:
- Applied the Maybelline Fit Me foundation with my beauty blender knockoff. This foundation is pretty matte, so keep that in mind!
- I used the e.l.f concealer under my eyes and on the few blemishes I had going on.
- Next, I applied the Revlon lipstick to my lips, my cheeks as the blush, and even blended a tiny bit into the contour of my eye. The color I am using (460) is the perfect color to make it a multi-use product.
- I then applied the Physician Formula mascara.
- Then, I did my brows using these eyebrow shaping instructions.
This is my entire non-toxic drugstore makeup look! I am going to do more of these as I find more product! Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!
