Reviews on 6 Non-Toxic Drugstore e.l.f. makeup products
Let’s talk about these non-toxic e.l.f makeup products that you don’t have to spend a fortune on. Trust me, I’m all for that clean makeup life, and I am snobby about that I put on my face. So, I’m excited to see if these products actually work or not. There are some safe products I will splurge for because they are amazing (hello Beautycounter eyeshadow palette), but, these look like they could be some solid options for far less expensive in the safe beauty drugstore makeup department.
I would like to note that I am not stating that these e.l.f cosmetics are organic or natural. They are just simply not going to get be bad for your body. You could let your kid’s play with this makeup and it wouldn’t be harmful to them.
e.l.f. mineral infused face primer
I’m impressed with the Mineral Infused Face Primer from e.l.f. It does have Dimethicone as a main ingredient which can potentially clog pores. So, keep that in mind. But, it does make your skin feel silky and soft, helps to blend your other cosmetics well, and holds foundation on. Also, the price tag is fantastic at only $10. It reminds me of the Smashbox face primer, but far less expensive. Plus, good news, this is a non-toxic drugstore cosmetic option that rates well on Think Dirty!

e.l.f. multi sticks
The e.l.f monochromatic multi stick comes in four different colors, Holly Berry, Radiant Bronze, Red, and Pale Peach. I am just showing you the Radiant Bronze and Pale Peach. Truly, the ingredients aren’t anything special, as in, everything is pretty basic, but they aren’t bad for you and they rate a 2 on Think Dirty. For a non-toxic drugstore cosmetic makeup option, I am obsessed with these. I think the pigmentation is fantastic, it blends into the skin really well, and looks gorgeous. If I didn’t know the brand name, I would never think they were a four dollar makeup product. I am hopping online to buy the other options.

e.l.f. natural mineral pearls
I’ve seen similar makeup products recently in tons of different cosmetics brands, so, I was thrilled to see this non-toxic drugstore option from e.l.f. The Mineral Pearls are meant to give off a light highlight and glow to the skin when you apply it with a fluffy blush brush.
I like the look of this product, but, I didn’t feel like it gave off much in the way of highlight. It doesn’t emit much of anything. However, the plus side is that these are not fragile like similar products made like this. I think you could probably travel with these and they wouldn’t smash into pieces. It will also last you forever since it doesn’t seem to give you much in the way of a highlight. Anyways, I like that this drugstore makeup option rates a 3 on Think Dirty, but, it doesn’t really do much in the way of being an effective makeup product.

e.l.f. HD face powder
If you’re looking for a good and basic powder that is non-toxic and can be found at a drugstore, check out the e.l.f. HD powder. It does the job of mattifying your makeup. Just, please do me a favor and don’t over-do-it. Too much powder never looks great on the skin.

e.l.f. mineral mascara
Alright, this image is absolutely terrible. But, I wanted you to see one set of lashes with the e.l.f. mineral mascara (only $3!), and one with out any. While this does rate a 4 on Think Dirty, which is not terrible for mascara, it does a pretty good job of lengthening and thickening the lashes. I have tried so many non-toxic mascaras, including high-end ones, and it’s so hard to find one that works well. I feel like this is pretty good!

e.l.f cosmetics makeup look using their non-toxic options
First, you need to know that I am wearing no foundation or concealer at all. I just wanted to show you what everything looked like on my face that I have here in this blog post for non-toxic drugstore cosmetics from e.l.f. First, I primed my face with the e.l.f face primer, then I added the peach color stick to the apples of my cheeks, eyelids, and lips. Next, I applied the bronzer stick under my cheek bones to contour and then highlighted above my cheek bone with the mineral pearls. Last, I did my mascara with the mineral mascara from e.l.f.
This is a super natural look because I’m not wearing much makeup at all. But, I wanted you to get a good feel for all of this makeup. I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you want more like this in the comments!

Kendra
