Prestiche Body Care- Review and Mini Vaca.

After a long day of chasing my exceptionally active two-year-old, bouncing my 3-month-old, blogging, responding to e-mails, cooking dinner, having a business meeting, and smooching my man.  It’s nice to do something fancy for just myself. Being a low-maintenance girl (my humble opinion, of course), give me a glass of red wine, a piece of dark chocolate and a bath with all of the pampering essential, and I am one happy girl!

Of course, you can’t just have any pampering essentials if you are truly wanting a self-indulgent moment in the bath. When that rare and peaceful moment arrives, you gotta go big or go home, right? Because before you know it, you will look over and see tiny fingers reaching for you under the door crack and your alone time will expire stat.

The point is, you deserve to enjoy a luxurious bath—even if it only lasts 10 minutes. It’s important to choose the right productsthat make you feel as though you’ve been transported to your “happy place.” The products that delivered me at the door of my “happy place” this week were the body products from Prestiche. Where did they transport me during my brief but beautiful moment of sanity? Back to my summer Maui vaca with ocean front views, sand between my toes and munching on delectably fresh papayas and mangos every-single-day…for ten days.  It was pretty rough.

What Are You Talking About Kendra?

Prestiche body products my friends! They have been around since the 80’s (my era…rock on) and continuously perfecting their products so that we get fresh and high-quality ingredients like raw, unrefined shea butter collected from Africa, extra-virgin olive oil from Italy, and the finest salt and clarifying mud obtained from the renowned Dead Sea. According to Prestiche, “No ingredient is unimportant. Prestiche carefully combs the globe for the absolute best, most beneficial resources possible.” I would like some of that please.

 What Kind Of Body Products?

One thing that I highly appreciate about this company is that my A.D.D button doesn’t go off when I am searching their web-site.  They specialize in 8 different key products, lay it out for you rather simply and then give you a choice of which scent is most pleasing to your senses. Luxury creams, soaps, scrubs, and moisturizers are what you are going to find when perusing their product line. Below is what I received from them for review. Have you ever tried Prestiche?

Wonder Polish

It’s a no wonder that this is called “wonder Polish” because this product doesn’t mess around in the polishing department.  I am not kidding, this is jam packed with Dead Sea Salt making your skin rival the finest silk. My only issue with the wonder polish is the scent (Ocean Mist) which is a total preference thing. Usually anything that has the word “ocean” incorporated into its fragrance description, I try to run far away from. Because I know this is just a “my nose vs. your nose” type of thing…I asked my husband to smell it because we are polar opposite in the fragrance department. His response was, “that smells amazing, what is that?” Go figure.

If I were to pick one out, I would go for the Sweet Orange Tangerine or Lavender.

Features: Fine Grained Dead Sea Salt, Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis), Grapeseed Oil (Vitis Vinifera),   Aloe Extract, Calendula Extract, Vitamin E Oil (Tocopherol), Rosehip (Rosa Canina Fruit Oil), Ultramarine Blue Oxide, Mountain Rain Fragrance Oil

Price: $59.99

Now this is what I am talking about when I say “transported me to my happy place.” Not only did this thick, whipped Creme De La Creme hydrate my parched skin, the passionfruit fragrance made it impossible to stop smelling! (Which in reality made me kind of look like a total weirdo in public.)

Features: Water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol and Ceteareth-20, Glycerin, Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Palm Oil, Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera), Glyceryl Monostearate, Sunflower Seed Oil (Helianthus Annuus), Beeswax (Cera Alba), Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Vitamin E Oil (Tocopherol), Sodium Citrate, Grapeseed Oil (Vitis Vinifera), Passionfruit Fragrance Oil

Price: $49.99

I think the name of this say’s it all…Butter Brulee! Yumm. When you open it up it looks and feels hard, but when you scoop some out, it instantly melts onto your skin giving it some good hydrating love. I would compare it to Coconut oil in the texture and overall experience of it. I adore the mango papaya scent as they are two of my must have fruits. I could eat Mango’s every singly day and that is not an exaggeration. To bad I don’t live in Maui where Mango trees are like Apple trees in Oregon.

Features:  Castor Seed Oil (Ricinus Communis), Grapeseed Oil (Vitis Vinifera), Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Palm Oil (Elaeis Guineensis), Beeswax, Mango Papaya Fragrance Oil

Price: $39.99

Now this is my favorite item from what was sent to me. Why? Because I can hand it over to my husband and request a little foot (or body) massage after a long day of juggling my many different rolls as a wife, mom, and working women.  The Miracle Glow in Vanilla Select is as they say on the web-site, “sweet and flirty.” It has a raw vanilla scent that is not to overwhelming, it is just right. Oh- and that Miracle Glow? They weren’t joking. Massage a few drops to your legs while rocking a frock that shows off some leg and BAM…you are smokin.

Features: Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis), Grapeseed Oil (Vitis Vinifera),  Castor Seed Oil (Ricinus Communis), Sesame Seed Oil (Sesamum Indicum), Calendula Extract, Vitamin E Oil (Tocopherol), Vanilla Select Fragrance Oil

Overall Thoughts-Opinions-Rating

Other than the scent of the Prestiche Ocean Mist which was a total preference thing, I thoroughly felt spoiled with these products. You can definitely tell a difference in quality between these and some…ahem…cheaper products. The quality and thoughtfulness put into this line really does make this experience more luxurious. When you feel more luxurious (even if it is just escaping to a quiet place having a moment to yourself with some fancy “feel good” products),….you just feel better about life which in turn makes you a little more pleasant to be around. At least in my case anyways…and hopefully I am not the only one that feels that way!!

Rating: I can’t live without you (5 points)

Especially the Miracle Glow, that will always be at my house from now on.
