Do you ever find yourself thinking about about something often enough until you eventually think you need to have it? That is how me and this LimeCrime lipstick came to be friends. I decided after a few months of gawking over it that it needed to be in either on my lips or in my purse. It’s an odd shade, but I love it! What do you think?

About The Lipstick: “Loaded to the brim with pigment for maximum impact, these beauties offer unparalleled coverage in a rainbow of statement-making shades. Cruelty-free/vegan formula is smooth, non-drying and lasts for hours. Each lipstick comes encased in the signature purple tube adorned with a sparkling unicorn.”
The Lipstick
First off, the packaging really speaks to my inner girly, girl. Bright pink plus a sparkling unicorn? Completely Cute and a little junior high-ish but I love it.
You can’t tell me this isn’t cute.
The Swatch
The Shade: Bubble gum pink with a mix of a blue gives you a beautiful violet color. Most people would run to violet as an eye shade and flee from it as a lip shade. But it is shockingly beautiful.
The Pics
So I may have had a glass of wine right before taking this photo which made my teeth a little purple. So this lipstick makes the purple teeth a little bit more purple looking. Just an FYI if you wear this shade and like red wine.
I love how green this color makes my eyes look.
My Thoughts
Yes I am aware that this shade is an odd one, but it’s why I really enjoyed it! It was “packed to the brim” with pigment that stayed on my lips well without drying them out and making the inside of my lips get dry and cracked. If you are not really into the color, there are a whole bunch of other shades to choose from for the person that may want to be more subtle with their lips.
Cost and Value
These lipsticks go for $16.00 a piece which is average for non drugstore brands. I think it is worth the price as you are not having to re-apply often.
