I have had my eyes on the NARS Dual Intensity Blush for a while and so I had to pick up a few from the Makeup Show in Dallas of course for review and to swatch. Trust me, they are just as gorgeous in person as they are online at Nordstrom or Sephora. If you are looking for a new blush for fall and winter, the two NARS Dual Intensity Blush products I chose to take home for review will nail the look. I think you are going to love them as much as I do. So, here is my review!
Review: First Impressions of the NARS Dual Intensity Blush
I have to say, I didn’t even want to touch these they were so pretty. I was actually scared to try them because I didn’t want to mess with the pigment and how perfectly they displayed in the case. NARS always has sick packaging that’s sophisticated, sexy, and sleek. Don’t you think?
NARS Fervor: I think this blush duo would look lovely on any skin type. On darker skin, the pale pink would pop as a highlight and the darker shade would be gorgeous on the apples of the cheeks. For lighter skin types, you could use either as your blush shade. I like to mix them together and really make my skin glow with a bit of color.
NARS Frenzy: This is a gorgeous blush/highlighter combo. On the left, there is a creamy light shade that’s perfect for highlighting and giving your skin a radiant glow. Then there is this peachy pink blush shade that compliments the highlight really well. I am obsessed with this duo.
Review: About the NARS Dual Intensity Blush
There are 6 blush duo’s in the NARS Dual Intensity Blush collection (I am only reviewing two today). They use the brand’s exclusive pigment technology which is what gives the skin a transparent dewy look. You can apply this wet for more intensity, or dry for a little less. It’s perfect for highlight the skin and adding a bit of color.
Review: Swatches of the NARS Dual Intensity Blush
As you can see the color in both of the NARS Dual Intensity blush products I chose are gorgeous. They both will create different looks on the skin, so I can’t really say one is a better buy than the other. But in my review of them so far for myself, the FERVOR might be winning as the blush I would use daily. Which color swatch are you liking better?
Review: Overall Thoughts and Opinions
It’s easy to see that I really love the NARS Dual Intensity Blush. With that said, when I think “dual intensity” I think of high pigment pay-off. Don’t be confused, these two blushes are high intensity for giving the skin a gorgeous glow with a pop of color.
I am not a fan of the overdone blush look. It should accentuate the skin and add color without being overly noticeable; I think this NARS blush duo does that perfectly. In fact, there are a lot of blush products that can leave “hot spots” on the skin (a collection of pigment in one area that doesn’t blend out well) and this product won’t do that at all. Yay!
