Review: Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Ultra-Sheer Daily Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 30

Sunscreen is without a doubt the single most important item to have in your daily skincare routine. So I am excited to announce and review the newly launched (as in two days ago) Skin Balancing Ultra-Sheer Daily Defense Sunscreen from Paula’s Choice!

What Is This: This is a full spectrum sunscreen that helps to prevent fine lines and wrinkles with an anti-oxidant built in for extra anti-aging benefits. It is light weight, great for all skin types–even acne prone (insert clapping my hands), and it leaves your skin with a matte finish and not all oily like most sunscreens do. An added bonus is that it’s 100% fragrance free and contains no added dyes…so essentially, great for sensitive skin as well.

Price: $20.00 for 2 oz

(Before I applied this sunscreen to my hand- I had put on some shea butter lotion. So the shine is not from the sunscreen FYI.)

 Here in Portland the sun really doesn’t shine much, but over the weekend it was actually 75-80 degrees and bright blue sky’s. It was nice going outside without getting a)hypothermia and b) a mid day shower with clothes on…meaning I got to enjoy the sun. It was also great timing because I was able to test out this sunscreen as well. Because this sunscreen is skin balancing I didn’t need to worry about having any added slickness to my skin at the end of the day and my skin was protected from any further sun damage. It really is a great product.
