Review: Stages of Beauty Skincare in Radiance

So beautifully packaged I must say, digging the butterflies in the box!

It’s true, I was smiling, I am still smiling.

Stages Of Beauty Skincare In Radiance

Trying out a new skincare line is kind of like a blind date. You are excited and kind of scared at the same time because you don’t know what to expect. You might even have to answer the “fake” call from your best friend and relay the tragic news that a loved one “is going through some hard thing’s” and you must bounce IMMEDIATELY. Or it might look a little like my own  blind-date (when I met my husband) where sparks fly and you stay up until 2am creating a MySpace page when that was cool. No we are not nerds…mmm, maybe we are? It’s questionable.

Well, this was a blind date gone right with the Stages Of Beauty Skincare Line. So let me tell you the details, because if you are like me, you like to be in the know.

Stages of Beauty Skincare was created with the idea that different age groups have different needs as far as skincare is concerned. So MIT- trained chemical and biological engineer, Jasmina Aganovic’s created the first skincare line that focused on getting the right products in the hands of women depending on their “stage in beauty.” Stages of beauty offers four different age specific lines:

  • The Radiance line (for women in their 20’s) focuses on preventative care, repairing and protecting skin against environmental damage and free radicals. (This is the one I am reviewing)
  • The Harmony line (for women in their 30’s) puts an additional focus on promoting the skins natural ability to exfoliate and regenerate new skin cells while supporting collagen and elastin.
  • The Elegance line (for women in their 40s) puts an additional focus on regaining the skin’s elasticity, firmness and tone.
  • The Grace line (for women in their 50’s +) puts an additional focus on hydration, restoration of the skin’s surface immunity, and balancing the effect of hormones on the skin.

Cleanser

I didn’t have a huge magical connection with this cleanser at first because cleansers are one of those necessary thing’s that are kind of boring. But a good cleanser is important as we all have to admit. This one cleansed my skin without making it feel stripped and was also the perfect mix between foaming and not giving your face a bubble bath.

  • Removes dirt, oil and makeup
  • Brightens skin tone and evens complexion
  • Activates detoxification enzymes to help fight free radicals

Ingredients: Monk’s Pepper Berry Extract, Sugar & Fruit Extracts and 20s Synergistic Blend ( Licorice & Mulberry Root Extract, Tea Leaf Extract, Swiss Cress Extract and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice)

Price: $29.99 for 120 mL (moderate price point)

Rating: I think I really like you (4 points)

 Scrub

I am generally not a huge scrub fan, but I did like this one because it didn’t just have just beads soaked in oil. It has Jojoba, pomegranate, bamboo granules and other natural fruit extracts that help exfoliate not only on your skin but within your pores as well. I used it 3 times per week and my skin felt so soft after each use.

  • Increases the skin’s ability to retain moisture
  • Preserves elasticity
  • Tones, lightens and tightens skin

Ingredients: Monk’s Pepper Berry Extract, Sugar & Fruit Extracts, Bamboo Micro Granules and 20’s Synergistic Blend (Pomegranate Seeds, Swiss Cress, Sprout Extract and Licorice & Mulberry Root Extract

Price: $34.99 for 60mL

Rating: I think I really like you (4 points)

 Antioxidant Serum With Red Tea

Using an Antioxidant and a Hyaluronic Acid is very important in your 20’s because this is the time where we see our first signs of aging. This serum has Red Tea extract and Hyaluronic Acid which helps to combat free radicals as well as repairs environmental damage. I only needed about 3 drops per use after cleansing which was great. I used in morning and night and felt like my skin looked bright and supple.

  • Combats free radical damage
  • Calms irritated and/or inflamed skin
  • Repairs environmental damage for healthier looking skin

Ingredients: Hyaluronic Acid and Red Tea Extract

Price: $52.99 (A fantastic steal of a price for these ingredients.)

Rating: I can’t live without you (5 points)

 Treatment Cream

I love a moisturizer that doesn’t feel like I have grease dripping off my face. This is a lightweight cream that “calms, protects, and restores youthful skin cells.” When I applied it to my skin, it didn’t take ten years to absorb, I loved that about this moisturizer. It also has some quality ingredients that make me a rather happy girl. And last but certainly not least, I did not get clogged pores from this, which is my biggest fear when trying out a new moisturizer. So I am very happy about that factor.

  • Provides lasting hydration without shine
  • Helps speed and promote the repair of free radical damage and oxidative stress
  • Inhibits enzymes that degrade collagen

Ingredients: Monk’s Pepper Berry Extract, Amino Acid Complex, Apple Stem Cells, Resveratrol and Sea Botanicals

Price: $52.99 for 30mL, $74.99 for 50mL (Price range is pretty average for quality  product.)

Rating:  I can’t live without you (5 points)

Overall Rating-Thoughts and Opinions

From the moment I opened that packaging I knew it was a possibility we could be more than friends. We hit it off well, but I have to admit, the only thing I wish this line had was an SPF. If you end up purchasing this line, make sure that you find a good SPF to wear with this…especially on the day’s you exfoliate your skin. Other than that, I really can’t think of anything else that this line needs. It has an exfoliant, a Hyalurlonic Acid and Anti Oxidant. Best of all, it is also fragrance free which helps those of us that might have more sensitive skin. Besides an SPF, what else would you need? I really enjoyed using this, it made my skin stay in tip top condition, and I was excited to use it at the beginning and end of each day. Oh, and no I will not be passing it off to any friends. I will use this to the very last drop.

Overall Rating: I think I really like you (4 points)

Only because as a skin care system it doesn’t include an SPF which I think is so very important. Perhaps that will be in this fantastic lines future, which will then make it a 5 in my book.

ALSO- I would like you all to know that you can try a free 14 day trial according to the web site. I am just going to assume that you will have to pay shipping and processing.

Have a fun day!
