I have a story to tell you about my over processed hair and how the Madam C.J. Walker Beauty Culture products saved the day on multiple occasions. My spring hair routine has changed for the good because it needed to. Are you ready for the hair color drama? Scroll down…you will see my Pink hair and understand why my hair is in desperate need of these hair-saving products for over processed hair. I love my pink hair now, but if I am honest with you all, I had about ten near panic attacks when I saw the original color. Let’s just say Strawberry Shortcake and I could have been besties until the Madam C.J. Walker Beauty Culture products came in and saved the day.
If you are new to the Madam C.J. Walker products, not to worry, most all of us are, and we are freaking out because if we had only had it sooner, our hair could have been saved from ALL THE HAIR DRAMA IN LIFE that we incurred upon ourselves. This hair care product line is making waves in the beauty world because of it’s hair nourishing and restorative ingredients and the best news is that it’s available at Sephora on-line and also launching in select Sephora stores. So, if you want to get your hair back into the best shape possible and restore your over processed hair, get amongst these hair care products from Madam C.J. Walker; they are life hair changing.
Since spring is here, pink hair seemed like a good idea, and I still think it is because I am obsessed with it. But originally, it was full on no Bueno. You see, I forced my hair stylist into doing my hair pink, and at first I didn’t think it was pink enough. So, we redid it after calling the hair color company to see the best way to get it to stay and, well, it sure as heck stayed and made a home in my hair. When my hair stylist washed out the hair coloring it was terrifying; my hair was flaming fuschia. FUSCHIA! Yes, fuschia. This is fine for other people, but it wasn’t what I was going for.
The good news is, before this fiasco I had been religiously using my Madam C.J. Walker Ultra Moisturizing Co-Wash, Ultra Moisturizing Detangler, Jamaican Black Castor Oil, and Deep Conditioning Mask. I know without a shadow of a doubt that because I had been using these products, my hair could handle the torture I was about to put it through. Let’s just say that for the next two day’s I was washing my hair like a mad woman with color stripping products and then would restore my over processed hair using the Madam C.J. Walker hair care products. I did this over and over until I got to the hair color you see above.
Now that I have confessed my hair sins to you, I will show you the hair products that totally redeemed and saved my pink hair and my sanity and my spring hair care routine that I regularly do now.
Over Processed Hair Step 1
MADAM C.J. WALKER Curl Enhancing Jamaican Black Castor & Murumuru Oils Ultra-Moisturizng Co-Wash: This is a shampoo is formulated with dual encapsulation technology that helps to keep your hair healthy, hydrated and prepared. It has small microspheres that deliver hair nourishing Jamaican black castor and moisture-sealing murumuru oils. What this does is help to keep your hair as hydrated as possible without looking greasy. And- if you have curly hair, these ingredients help to keep your curls look fresh and amazing.
Routine Step 1: I use this every 5 day’s usually because that’s how long I go between washing my hair. I just get my hair wet and then applied the co-wash. It doesn’t really suds up as much, so I made sure to really wash well and then rinse it out.
Price: $24.00
Over Processed Hair Step 2
Curl Enhancing Jamaican Black Castor & Murumuru Oils Ultra-Moisturizing Detangler: Using the same dual encapsulation technology as the co-wash, this hair product is perfect for hydrating your over-processed hair and detangling at the same time. It is rich in murumuru oil that leaves a conditioning coat on each strand of hair that helps to lock in moisture. Plus, if you have curly hair, it will help to keep it brushable. And, even if you don’t have curly hair, this hair product is so good for keeping your hair untangled.
Routine Step 2: After I wash my hair, I apply this to my hair and then wash it out after a few minutes. It leaves my hair so incredibly soft.
Price: $26.00
Over Processed Hair Step 3
Madam C.J. Walker Wonderful Deep Conditioning Masque: If you have distressed and over processed hair, you need this product. Like, you really need it. This hair mask by Madam C.J Walker nourishes and boosts dry, over-treated and distressed hair. It deep condition’s, rehydrate’s, and rebuilds each strand of hair from the scalp down. Plus, it smells like warm vanilla and a faint floral fragrance. It’s ah-maz-ing. I used this every time I had to use the hair color stripping product, and it really saved my hair big time.
Routine Step 3: Like I said, my hair was so damaged. So during my stripping color product days, I used this conditioning mask a ton. But during my normal spring routine, I am using it every 10 day’s or so.
Price: $32.00
Over Processed Hair Step 4
Madam C.J. Walker Jamaican Black Castor Oil: By using a blend of vitamins and essential fatty acids, the Jamaican Black Castor Oil hair care product helps to not only add shine but promotes hair growth too. It not only helps to condition that hair, but it also restores over-processed hair by nourishing and conditioning. How to Use:
Routine Step 4: I am using this mostly on the days that I was my hair or when I feel like the ends of my hair need to be revamped a bit. I just pump it into my hands and then smooth it onto my dry hair for some serious shine factor.
Price: $26.00
If your hair isn’t necessarily damaged, Madam C.J. Walker has four other hair care collections that address everything from cleansing, treating, and styling. There is something for every hair texture and condition, and you will love them. There are “three styling collections that are formulated with six multi-tasking oils that help nourish, condition, detangle and seal in moisture”. So, make sure to check out the Brassica Seed & Shea Oils Collection for smoothing,(Smoothing/Style-Extending), Coconut & Moringa Oils Collection for frizz, Fighting/Humidity-Blocking) and Jamaican Black Castor & Murumuru Oils Collection for curls. Plus, there is also the Dream Come True Collection scalp and strand nourishment.
In the end, I am super happy with my pink hair and my daughter loves it. But, had I not had these Madam C.J. Walker Beauty Culture hair care products, I think my hair would have been done for. It saved my over-processed hair from the stress I was putting it through. If you have dry hair, curly hair, and/or over processed hair, you must try these products out. They will change your hair from the root down and make it softer, hydrated, and restored.
You can get these products at select Sephora stores, sephora.com, or you can go to HERE and locate a store near you that carries them.
I love your hair and have considered going pink with my color so many times, but I’m so nervous of just killing me hair, ha! I have read so many really good reviews of that masque that I’m going to have to pick it up for sure!
Don’t be scared! Just do it. You only live once…
I adore the pink you ended up with. Thank goodness your hair was healthy going into the pink dye process. I can only imagine it would have been so damaged if you hadn’t been using this line. The masque is pretty amazing. I love it too!
The masque is so ridiculously good!!!
