Now that summer is officially over; it’s time to think about ways you can get your skin back into shape and update your fall skincare routine. Of course, you should have been taking care of your skin this whole time. But if we are honest, summers are lazy and sometimes washing your face seems like a daunting task when you could be outside adventuring. I wouldn’t know anything about that though because I am writing this article.
When fall hits, heaters turn on, and the weather gets crisp and dry, this can cause your skin to become parched and basically hate you. So, it’s a good time to kick out those oil-free products that are great for summer and add in hydrating and exfoliating products. Check out these seven skincare products that I love and that you should be considering this season.
Olive + M Cleansing Oil: My husband and I fight over this in the morning. If you have never used a cleansing oil, start here. You just massage a dime-size amount onto your skin and then wipe it off with a cotton round. This cleansing method can be hard to get used to, but once you feel how soft and hydrated, your skin feels, you will be in love. This Olive + M cleansing oil ($62.00 at oliveandm.com) has a million oils in the formulation like Olive Oil, Organic Rosehip Oil, Red Raspberry Seed oil, and the list goes on…literally. You need to check it out.
NUDE Progenius Omega Treatment: I am obsessed with the NUDE Progenius Omega Treatment Oil ($78.00 at Sephora). I use it every morning and even mix it in with my Laura Mercier foundation for some extra glow. What’s so great about this treatment oil is that it has Omegas 3, 6, 7, and 9 to help nourish and hydrate the skin. It also has Camelina to reduce redness along with Sea Buckthorn and Macadamia Oil to renew and repair.
Phytomer Hydracontinue Flash Gel: With just one drop of the Phytomer Hydracontinue 12H Moisturizing Flash Gel ($70.50 at Dermstore), my skin felt hydrated and cooled immediately. It features green algae extract, which admittedly sounds disgusting, but it’s really good for the skin. It helps by detoxifying, renewing, and hydrating the skin so that your complexion looks healthy and radiant. I use mine right before I apply my moisturizer, which helps keep my skin hydrated for the entire day.
MURAD Anti-Aging Moisturizer and SPF 30: I just finished a tube of the MURAD Anti-Aging Moisturizer and SPF 30 ($48.00 at Nordstrom), so I had to bust out another one. If a product go’s on repeat in my house, it means that I like it a whole lot. What I love about this moisturizer and SPF is that it is lightweight, non-greasy, protects my skin, and also has antioxidants to ward of free-radicals. Even though it’s fall, sunscreen is essential every day.
OLE Henriksen Truth Cream Advanced Hydration: This right here is my night-time cream, but it can also be used for daytime too. What I love about the OLE Henriksen Truth Cream Advanced Hydration ($48.00 at Dermstore) is that it has Vitamin C in it. This ingredient helps by brightening the skin, reducing brown pigmentation, and blocking annoying free-radicals as well. It also has Tri-Peptide 5 which stimulates collagen synthesis to fight fines lines and wrinkles.
PIXI Skintreats Glow Tonic: I think this is one of the best skincare launches this year, and it is at Target. Check out the PIXI Skintreats Glow Tonic ($29.00 at pixibeauty.com and target.com) yall! It has 5% Glycolic acid to help exfoliate and kick out blackheads, plus it has Aloe Vera and Ginseng. It’s a toner, so you want to use it after your cleanse your skin to tone, exfoliate and remove any excess debris. This product is a major win for Target and PIXI. You need it, trust me.
Rodan & Fields Micro-Dermabrasion Paste: This exfoliating scrub has quickly become one of my favorite weekly skin treatments. I use this exfoliating skin treatment product 3 times a week, and it leaves my skin soft, silky, and radiant. You can check out my review of the Rodan & Fields Mirco-Dermabrasion Paste for more details.
