The Little Green: My Infants First Beauty Products

Two weeks ago today I had my third child that we named Wyatt Ezra. First off, although this is not my first go around with a newborn, having an infant is no joke. It is an around the clock boob-fest here, and I am pretty exhausted from whipping it out every 2 hours for on-demand breastfeeding. If you are wondering if this is that kind of post, it’s not. I just wanted to have a moment of honesty before I jumped into talking about a new line of safe bath and body products for babies from The Little Green. Between Wyatt having two beauty obsessed little sisters and a makeup artist and beauty blogging mom, it’s a no wonder that my two-week old son would already have his first beauty products. We start them young around here.

The Little Green prides itself on having products that are safe for kids by being hypoallergenic, plus paraben, sulfate, and allergen-free. All of their products have been clinically & Dermatology tested and are gentle enough for your babes to lather safely up in. Baby Wyatt had a pretty good first bath experience with them; he didn’t even cry…it was a bath time miracle.

The little Green sent me the Shampoo and Body Wash, Conditioning Hair Detangler, and the Nourishing Body Lotion for my little ones to use in their bathtime routine. I have had them in my line-up of things to review for a few months now, but I wanted to wait until the baby was born to put them up on my blog. So let me tell you what I thought about each of these products.

The Little Green Shampoo and Body Wash: This is a tear-free hair and body wash that smells pretty dang good, while not be overwhelming with fragrance. It also has Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E to help nourish the skin while still cleansing the hair. I used this on Wyatt for his first at-home bath and also on my two daughters. It was gentle enough for my sons hair and delicate skin as well as tough enough to get all of the grime out of my girls hair.

The Little Green Conditioning Hair Detangler: Well, my son doesn’t have enough hair to justify squirting in leave-in hair detangler. My girls, on the other hand, that’s another story. Zariah, my oldest, has some of the worst hair tangles known to man, so finding a detangler that works and doesn’t leave her hair greasy is essential. This leave-in conditioner for kids has silk proteins, vitamin B-5, and Aloe to leave the hair strengthened and hydrated. It also helps protect against chlorine damage, which is important in our family as we are at the pool nearly every day.

The Little Green Nourishing Body Lotion: Last on my list of safe bath and body products for kids is The Little Green Nourishing Body Lotion. I used this on all of my kids right after their baths, and it worked great with zero skin irritation! It is formulated with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Olive Oil, and Oat Extract, all of which help to soothe and nourish dry skin.

So for my infant’s first beauty products, I chose to go with some safe hair and body products from The Little Green. While these products aren’t Organic, they are hypoallergenic and paraben-free which, makes me feel good about using it on my kids. Also, how cute is that baby towel, it would be such a cute gifting idea along with these products for a baby shower. Just a thought.

Well my friends, if you are searching for some safe bath and body products for your kids, you should give The Little Green a try. You will feel good about it and your kids will love it too. You can check them out on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram…tell them I said hello.
